We’ve always done turkey for Thanksgiving and ham for Christmas, which saves us having to the whole turkey thing twice in two months.

Ehhhh, it’s mostly because I struggle to start writing anything on the computer. Starting by hand frees me from the blinking cursor, and then a couple pages in I’ll take a break to transcribe it into a doc.

All the face nibs are great! And you can swap them into something like the Prera if you want a classier pen body for your smiley face nib 😄

Avoid Goulet Pens, they’ve have good SEO but they’re evangelical Christian of the anti-LGBTQ sort. It was a whole thing when that came out… also avoid Noodler’s for similar reasons (antisemitic, anti-vax, just bad ink)

I really like Pilot nibs, they’ve got good bounce to them. In my experience Preppies have stiffer nibs, but which is “better” is entirely personal preference.
JetPens is a great website to start on, they have a big selection across price points & they’re usually fast.

Lots of people recommend Lamy Safaris as started pens but I don’t like them. I had one and it dried out so fast, plus Lamy recently did a Harry Potter collab so they’re doubly dead to me now.
