If you beat your head against a math/code problem for long enough (shuffling variables around and the like), you'll eventually get what you want.

We can build better interfaces to language models than chat if we're willing to put in the design and engineering work. This post showcases a proof-of-concept implementation of one such interface: a semantic navigator for an arbitrary repository of files

@tangled.org The tngl.sh PDS is 6 months out of date, and is subject to a weird bug. Is there any chance it will be updated soon?
PDS: Stop probing image dimensions on blob upload by DavidBuchanan314 · Pull Request #4560 · bluesky-social/atproto
For blobs that look like images, the PDS attempts to parse out the image's pixel dimensions. The image's dimensions are saved to the actor db, but they are never used for anything. They are...

Really neat fork of the official Bluesky client. My buttons are yellow, and my posts are "Bloots"!
oh and it also actually supports the pronouns field!! you know, the thing bluesky seems to not care about supporting! super rad!!

*and* a website field! truly, remarkable stuff.

I learned some things today, but most importantly, just use someone else's code if it's a pain. I've been sitting in DPoP hell for no good reason, while atcute is right there.

You think CORS is bad? Try DPoP.

I think my favorite thing about ATProto is the fact that it disconnects identity and data. It's really nice to be able to not worry about what happens to mine if Tangled or Bluesky shuts down.
(I have been 'traumatized' by the Skiff shutdown.)

I made a fun code generator thing that detects NSIDs in a user's repo and produces static HTML of buttons linking to respective apps. I've gone and used it for my own site already!

A bot that reposts mentions of "ATProto"? Isn't that what feeds are for?

HTML/JavaScript/CSS without the whole build step thing is pretty nice. Like a little zen garden in my computer.
