(Spoiler: “nothing for anyone is always the real agenda. Just as “why should the middle class get services they can afford?” gets followed up good-cop-bad-cop style with “why should the poor get services they don’t contribute to?”)

If he so wished, he could just as easily make the same argument about fixing SEND education or fixing school buildings (wait, I thought we fixed them all using PFI in the Blair era?) or retaining teachers: “why should middle class parents who can afford their own SEND provision blah blah blah?”

They’re also Soros conspiracy theorists. They’ve deleted all their tweets mentioning him but you can tell what they’re saying by the tweets the deleted tweets are replying to, and the replies to the deleted tweets.

If any other ethnic or religious minority were experiencing a genocide and you told them “don’t use this chant to criticise the state carrying out the genocide - you should be thrown in jail if you do - even though it doesn’t mention or even refer to my ethnic group“…oh. wait…
I'll say it again: if any other ethnic or religious minority said "please don't use this particular term or chant, you might not have bad intentions but it is deeply racist and threatening to us", the reaction would be mortified apology.

And that's without a mass terror event four days ago

The main reason I can still enjoy Father Ted when (for example) Morrissey has ruined The Smiths for me is that irrational best bits now read like a pointed attack on Linehan’s present self e.g.
