Still, Ms. Redstone said, she couldn’t quite reconcile herself to the drastic step of selling National Amusements and giving up control of Paramount. Potential buyers reached out over the years. David Ellison pressed his case several times, including over breakfast at the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills in 2023. Ms. Redstone was noncommittal. That all changed on Oct. 7, 2023, when Hamas invaded Israel. The attack had a profound impact on Ms. Redstone, an ardent supporter of Israel whose ex-husband, Yitzhak Korff, known as Ira, is a rabbi and direct descendant of the founder of the Hasidic movement. (Her son Tyler is also a rabbi.) “Once that happened, I wanted out,” she said. “I wanted to support Israel, and address issues around antisemitism and racism.”

Zohran is not doing well enough for yall to be against coalition endorsements. Zohran being next to other dream candidates makes him more likely to be ranked second or third by those candidates supporters. And they literally seem like they like each other too. Also if Zohran was in 3rd and lander was second there's exactly 0 chance the same people saying lander should drop out would say Zohran should drop out. She’s from out of town: Abughazaleh’s early launch may help in her fundraising, but she will face rough waters going forward as she’s only lived in Chicago since July. She voted in the 2024 election in Washington, D.C., because her lease wasn’t yet up and registered to vote in Illinois last month. She currently lives outside the district but plans to move into the district “soon.”
