All sounds reasonably balanced and a sensible compromise by all involved. Good luck to him on the next part of his journey.

Agree with Matt Smith on this one. I don’t think we hold all the cards. Some kind of gentlemen’s agreement was clearly made with him. And I think worst case is a disillusioned Jobe, whose form drops and value drops.

And regardless of the Wembley result I think that special moment will be remembered for a long, long time.

Totally agree with all of that. You don’t suffer through all the tough times, to then be reserved when the absolute best of times happen.

So many difficult days supporting a football club and then occasionally something like this happens that makes it all worthwhile!

Totally agree with everything in this article. Toxicity at this stage will only hurt us. And nearly every fan would have happily settled for a 4th place finish at the start of this season.

Regardless of what happens in the play-offs, this season has been a massive improvement on last year. We should unequivocally support RLB and team through to at least the first few months of next season, and hopefully far beyond.

We finished last season on 52 points. Pretty sure making it comfortably to the play-offs will be deemed entirely adequate.

It’s all about peaking at the right time now. Resting Jobe felt sensible, but time will tell. What’s the strategy through to the play-offs? It’s a fine balance of recuperation, confidence, match fitness & team harmony.

Anyone who’s not backing the lads and/or RLB at the current time is nuts. Regardless of what happens in the play-offs, it’s been a great season and a massive improvement from last year.

Keeping up the winning habit. Which means a lot.
