I'm not sure it hates us more than elsewhere. But post2007/08 austerity and pandemic have offered political vehicles to systematically reduce funding. Current funding choices are the result of having "coped" for past decade but now most institutes have passed breaking point.

A New Zealand friend of mine called those kind of cliff slabs "gravestones" because if one fell on you (helmet or no) that is what it would be.

👍. To add some objectivity to your original question Golden Brown reached No 2 in UK chart and won an Ivor Novello songwriting award. So it is pretty universally acknowledged as a very, very good song.

Their attitude was raw, unadulterated punk. Their problem was their music (although not always their lyrics) was far too sophisticated for the punk movement that emerged. There is an argument to be made they are a very direct prog rock band.

Phase diagrams are idealised systems. Like real rocks I think all scientist show a degree of disequilibrium.
