It mostly looks like England’s population exploded as a result of the Industrial Revolution, which would make sense given that it is the nation closest to mainland Europe.

Currently the state of California are suing the owners of Stake for providing online gambling to Californians. That case will be interesting to keep an eye on, as it may show a precedent for the UK in stopping black market operators despite the use of VPNs and offshore accounts/cryptocurrencies.

Correct. My hunch is that online and retail tax will be 30%.
The Gambling Commission set maximum stakes to £2 for under 25’s, and £5 for over 25’s this year. Alongside max monthly losses of £100 average per year.
The likes of Stake (team Sauber in F1) prey on gamblers locked out by regulators.
