Usually with Steam reviews on old retro collections, they're less about what their opinions are of the games and more about whether or not they function as advertised.

It would be considered cheating but no one would fault you for it. It is Bubsy after all.

Both situations are sad but gun control won't stop people from being murdered. Instead, it will take away our freedom under the disguise of safety.

All you can do is show respect and solidarity for the people who are affected when it happens.

You're more likely to get struck by lightning than get shot going to school.

Fuck it, push it down to 50. Outer Worlds 2 ain't really worth full price anyway. It's just Obsidian slop.

You just gotta grind a bit and you'll be fine. YS 2 has better combat and a magic system that's pretty neat.

Just keep in mind, that these games are still products of their time despite being remade. So it'll be a little archaic in some ways.

Never saw it. But I don't think it's canon to the games so you wouldn't be missing much.

As far as which version of Ys 1 and 2 to play, I recommend Ys 1 and 2 Chronicles +. The one that's available on Steam since it looks and sounds good imo.

I found Ys Origin to be very frustrating since you have to find a bunch of hidden things in order to progress
July 22, 2025 at 3:26 PM
Never tried the online Ys game but yeah. Don't know why there are multiple Adols.
July 22, 2025 at 6:49 AM
I highly recommend starting with Ys 1 and 2, Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim, or Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana.

Yunalesca's Megadeath is manageable so long as you leave 1 party member zombified and have enough Phoenix Downs/Auto Med armor.

If you thought that was frustrating, then I would recommend avoiding SMT/Persona. Since that entire franchise revolves around shifting around what you know.

Those last points are debatable since the game is designed around swapping characters for specific enemies that show up in every area. You can do this freely without wasting a turn.

Sonic 06 on the other hand...it's just a genuinely awful game since the things it implemented were sloppily executed.

Just curious, what did you hate about Final Fantasy X?

Because that's usually a highly regarded title and my personal favorite of the series.
July 20, 2025 at 3:39 PM
Yeah I understand what you're saying, I was just giving another example of how Sonic and Final Fantasy were similar to add on to your point.
July 20, 2025 at 3:37 PM
It makes perfect sense.

The Final Fantasy series at large even had a dark age in the late 2000s/early 2010s much like Sonic.

That's what I like about certain games. It's fun to just walk around and hear the problems of local towns people.

Same thing with the Pokemon games. Emerald version especially.

Good. The less illegal border crossings we have, the more safe America becomes.

Over 90 percent of men work in fields
Over 90 percent of men fight fires
Over 90 percent of men keep your lights on
Over 90 percent of men work in mines
Over 90 percent of men invent cool gizmos that let you post hatred towards men

I'd say it evens out 😊

I will support #Vance2028 since Trump has already been doing a great job with bringing peace to the world and a really good economic/immigration policy.

Apparently there's a guy who's doing a decompilation of Sonic Advance 2.

He says that once he's done with that, decompiling Sonic Advance 1 and 3 will be easy.

It's unfortunate but the Sonic games on GBA were only licenced by Sega, published by THQ, and developed by dimps. So Sonic Battle is currently in legal limbo and we're not getting a re-release any time soon.

Such a shame too. The GBA Sonic games were really sweet. Especially Sonic Advance 3.
