Back in Dec. 1975, I remember getting in this little car and loving it. A man walked up and asked me if he could take a picture of me for the paper. We were down at PayLess Drug Store in Lewiston. Alas, I never got that little car for Christmas.

Traffic inbound (East) on the Boise I-84 connector was at a total bumper-to-bumper standstill this evening. Traffic backed up for several miles. Took me an hour to drive home, usually a 15 min drive.
An ambulance has to try to ride the left shoulder through this mess with lights and siren blaring.

These squash blossom crepes were made with pumpkin blossoms. Zucchini blossoms work great too. Throughout the summer you can use some of the male blossoms so female blossoms still set fruit. End of season, use all blossoms before the wilt in the frost. These smell amazing, and taste delicious.

Made one of my favorite things this morning, squash blossom pancakes/crepes. My grandma made us these seasonal treats.
Wash blossoms, cut out stigma/stamen, lay flat between towels & pat dry, dip in crepe batter, arrange in pan on low, poor more batter to cover. Serve w/butter &/or maple syrup.
