FEMA just sent out an email canceling a slate of upcoming preparedness and resilience webinars as "the Agency reviews ongoing activities." That includes discussions about animals in disasters, flood insurance, tornado preparedness, and demystifying FEMA grants.

The Maui Humane Society posted that federal cuts "hit home" today: "With less than 24 hours notice, we've lost funding that employed Lahaina wildfire survivors at our shelter, via the National Dislocated Workers Grant program." (image from the org's Instagram) www.instagram.com/p/DGWL8mwzdB...)
