There were two major standouts this season, with South Australian duo Lara Kirkby and Abbey Burns setting the curve in 2024. However, the Rachael Doyle Medal for Player of the Year can only go to one player, and this year it goes to UAB's Abbey Burns.

It looked as though three assists would be enough to top the leaderboard in 2024, but Tarleton State's Adelaide Wyrzynski and Maine's Lara Kirkby each turned provider on multiple occasions late in the season to jump to the top of the charts and share the award for most assists by an Aussie.

Moving to the statistical awards, the battle to top the goalscoring charts went all the way to the NCAA Tournament, but Abbey Burns' combination of goals from open play and a perfect record from the spot saw the South Australian emerge as top goalscorer.

Hannah Peric has carved out one of the all-time great college careers of any Australian defensive player, and earned a third Defensive Player of the Year award whilst helping lead Massachusetts to an Atlantic 10 title game berth.

In a season that saw four Aussies score six or more goals, and all four of those players secure All-Conference nods, it was the only player to be named All-Conference First Team who earned Offensive Player of the Year as UAB's Abbey Burns took home the award.

The battle for Goalkeeper of the Year came down to a pair of Western Australians, with Morehead State's Lilly Bailey fending off a challenge from Fresno State's Shivani Battaglia as the freshman helped lead her team to the NCAA Tournament.

A starter on just three occasions in 2023, Candice Kilderry became one of the first names on the team sheet for Little Rock in 2024. Earning an OVC All-Conference Second Team selection for her efforts, the midfielder was a clear choice for Breakout Player of the Year.

It's time to dish out some awards for the 2024 season!

First up is Freshman of the Year. The only Aussie freshman to be named All-Conference, UNC Asheville's Mercedes McNabb just edged out Harvard's Erin Gordon, Tarleton State's Adelaide Wyrzynski, and Morehead State's Lilly Bailey for the award.
