Today is our Cat-anniversary. Ezra, the Lothcat, has been with me one year now.
He’s brought peaceful purrs, chattering mornings, warm cuddles, and lots of hair to my home. He’s scratched up my best carpet, but has enriched my days. I’m so glad to have found him!

Ezra, the Lothcat, thinks Sundays are for naps.
What are your thoughts?

Brand is from 'Twilight Company' by Alexander Freed. She is an aloof sniper with a mysterious past (she became a bounty hunter after criminals killed her family) who joined the 61st Mobile Infantry and ended up facing off against the Empire over and over again. She's one of my favorite book OC's.

Riyo Chuchi was a young senator and contemporary of Padmé during 'The Clone Wars'. She's also in 'The Bad Batch', where she champions the rights of former clone troopers.
She's glamorous and has some stunning outfits.

Merrin, a Nightsister from Dathomir, was in both Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. She believed herself to be the only survivor of the massacre wrought during the Clone Wars. She eventually spends her time saving Force-sensitives being hunted by the Empire.

Qi'ra appears in 'Solo: A Star Wars Story'
In the film, she was conflicted. She battled between seeking power and running away with Han as she'd wanted to do in her youth. More of that conflict can be seen in the other material (comic, books) and I am still eager for more of her story.

Winter Celchu is from pre-Disney times.
She was Leia's companion/sister and participated in the post-rebellion activities in the X-wing series by Michael A. Stackpole. I recall her best from Scoundrels by Timothy Zahn (who I believe was the first to write her into existence anyway).

Torra Doza from the short-lived animated series 'Star Wars Resistance' was an ace pilot who participated in races held on the station named the 'Colossus'.
She has a pet named Buggles, who is kind of adorable.

Rey is one of the main three protagonists of the sequel trilogy.
I won't rehash the plot, but the things I loved seeing were her friendship with Finn, her bickering with Poe, and her mechanical inclinations. I'm looking forward to more of her in 'New Jedi Order'.
Is The Force for everyone now? 🤔

Reva Sevander, aka Third Sister appeared in the D+ series Obi-wan Kenobi. She survived Order 66 and later joined the Inquisitors. She had a complicated revenge plot, but chose to spare the boy in the end - giving her a (possibly) more interesting redemption path than we're used to seeing.

Captain Phasma is Finn's nemesis in the Star Wars sequels. She's intimidating and fierce.
Reading her backstory in 'Phasma' by Delilah S. Dawson, I wonder if her trajectory would've been different if somehow the resistance had found her instead. Maybe not. She does crave order over chaos.

Aurra Sing is a bounty hunter who appeared as a podrace spectator in TPM. She went on to help train young Boba Fett, worked with Cad Bane, and I think ran with Hondo (?) for a time.
It's rumored Woody Harrelson is the cause of her demise, but don't believe everything you read on the internet.

Lyro Erso, mother of Jyn.
Star Wars does have a thing about dead mothers, doesn't it? Lyra and her backstory get fleshed out more in 'Catalyst' by James Luceno.

Fennec Shand, a true Disney Princess who will kick. your. ass.

Master assassin, bounty hunter, and mercenary. She does seem to have some inner moral code buried under her armor, she's also stealthy and tricky - like a fox (which she's named after - 'Fennec' is a type of fox).

She first showed up in 'Star Wars Rebels', Hera Syndulla is a badass pilot and determined rebel leader. She's also a daughter, a rebel, a friend, a fighter, a mentor, a leader, a lover, a mom (literally and figuratively). We see her happy, sad, angry, and everything in between.

Depa Billaba was Mace Windu's padawan and became both a Jedi Master and member of the Jedi Council. Her own padawan, Caleb Dune (aka Kanan Jarrus) survived Order 66. Like all good legends, stories about Depa and how she met her fate vary.

Mon Mothma was a senator from Chandrilla who became a revolutionary, helping to overthrow the Galactic Empire.
Politics in Star Wars haven't always made sense, but she's a firebrand, and she'd get my vote.

Ciena Ree is talented, smart, kind, and funny. In the book, 'Lost Stars' by Claudia Gray, you see her POV and the slippery slope she slides down to find herself in the command structure of the Imperial Navy.
She's loyal. Too loyal. And it's part of her undoing.

Bix Caleen is a mechanic from Ferrix. She was tortured by the ISB, but was freed by Cassian Andor during a riot. While hiding out on Coruscant, she got revenge on her torturer, Dr. Gorst, by giving him a taste of his own medicine and then blew him up before he could eat his fancy cupcake.

Jessika Pava, a resistance pilot and Luke Skywalker 'fangirl' who is rumored to go through droids at an alarming rate.

She features in fanfic a lot, often paired up with Rey.

Beru (Whitesun) Lars was from Tatooine & once dreamed of opening a restaurant. She helped raise Luke Skywalker and made a mean blue-milk cheese. I liked the backstory we got about her from 'A Certain Point of View' and was happy to see her character in the D+ series, 'Obi-Wan Kenobi'.
August 3, 2025 at 8:29 PM
Sabé, one of the 'Handmaidens' who would sometimes play decoy for Queen Amidala.

I love how her story grows after the movies through books and have yet to read the comics (but understand she has run-ins with Vader and even tries to redeem him once she discovers who he is?)

Ezra, the Lothcat, is entirely too cool for this timeline.
But he’s a cat, so he’ll do as he pleases anyway.
