Also, kids have responsibilities, too. Every morning, I watch my son walk into kindergarten with his backpack on, with all kinds of expectations and rules waiting for him. Frankly, children don’t get away with much. It’s only when we become adults that we have the freedom to act like asses.

Telling men to “grow up” sends a message that they should disconnect from a part of themselves that holds joy, playfulness, curiosity, vulnerability, etc.. I’d argue that men should connect more with that part of themselves and stop taking adulthood so seriously.

The long game, for obvious reasons, favors the majority. The people aren’t behind the kind of oligarchical power grab and dismantling of institutions we’re witnessing. I just fear how permanent the damage will be.

That these GOP hacks have succeeded in getting the media to bite on these absurd narratives is maddening it itself.
