I will never not have a fireplace, and next year I'm getting a modern fireplace with secondary burn. So my already cut firewood will probably last me years. Eventually I'm having a fireplace in the basement as well as a mini split heat pump.

I'm trying to optimise not having too many connected devices, for my own sanity's sake. Also trying to optimise having tactile feedback for things such as temperature control on my cars climate and volume controls.

Three years ago I wouldn't consider an EV, because I often did long trips going the same route. (Basically I only stopped for bio breaks, fuel if I had planned poorly.) But now with two kids under two a twenty-thirty minute stop every two to three hours is basically mandatory, so an EV makes sense.

The way they treat customers and workers, the terrible quality and just in general how it is to operate the vehicle, no it's not even an option.

Tesla is so crazily overvalued, that even down 16% it is still too high.

Yeah, I have no idea how much time I've spent trying to force YouTube's algorithm to show me something new. Something outside of the stuff I'm subscribed to or have watched in the past. It's like pulling teeth.
