I'm probably more surprised and impressed than I should be, but I'm happy to say #VRchat works in the stock standard Fedora 43 Workstation GNOME environment off of an existing Windows NTFS disk.

Maybe another day I'll try see if SteamVR works too.

Ah I see. I have dedicated servers so my desktop is only ever on when I'm at it.

Is Caffeine needed? The power option already prevents system suspend, I just lock my computer when not using it.

I'm already using all of those except ArcMenu. I also have 'AppIndicator and KStatusNotifierItem' for my tray icons.

I'm running Fedora 43 Workstation with GNOME (the standard image).

I want to move away from Lightroom too but I've not found any alternatives that are anywhere near as efficient at editing hundreds of photos at once and viewing them as a library.

Eventually stopped using RGS when it kept glitching out with Windows 8.1 tablet mode in Windows 10. Premiere Pro and Lightroom work fine over RDP in Server 2019.

There's no loss in performance. It's working as good as the NUC is capable of (which is comparable to a 2018 gaming laptop, runs the same i7-9750H).

As to the GPU I'm not 100% certain if it still does passthrough, initially I used HP Remote Graphics Software to achieve that. RDP works fine for me.

Years ago I had a use case to need Lightroom across multiple computers. So I setup a VM on my server NUC with a graphics card just for Lightroom Classic with Windows Server 2019. I access it on all my PCs.

DisplayCAL worked without issues from flatpak, both my screens are calibrated at 98% sRGB, looks good.

Tried MATE briefly to test a WinXP theme but it couldn't verify my colour profiles so I switched back to GNOME.

With the amount of AI bots I get on the social media platforms that I host that I have to detect and block, I wouldn't say Bluesky is exempt either since it's publicly posted content which is scraped with AI.

They could at least add an opt out feature for it to make it harder.

People are coming back again?

Every other post on here comes up as 'adult content' which is banned in Australia due to the over-16 law, so it's pretty bland now. They even blocked the ublock origin workaround.

Mastodon and X however do not block those.
