Oh, and this is the beginning of a trilogy that (broadly speaking) comments on how old religions lash out at change as well as how people try to break generational trauma. Fun stuff!

Genre-wise, it's a fantasy novel with some horror elements, particularly in regards to personal trauma and abuse. But that also comes with finding the strength to be better people than those who've wronged us through found family and friendship.

This is the story that Sheela was originally created for, though the author ended up writing five other books first to make sure the quality would be up to snuff by the time it came to write this one. It's also when she met Vyy, who viewers will recognize as the love of her life.
