Tennis Star Naomi Osaka Explains How Her Daughter Inspired Her Unique Jellyfish Outfit For The Australian Open
Tennis superstar Naomi Osaka turned the court into a nautical-themed runway at the 2026 Australian Open, debuting a jellyfish-inspired outfit born not from a fashion archive or a what’s trending forecast, but from her 2-year-old daughter’s delight in marine life. At 28, Osaka has long been recognized for more than her dominance on the court. She’s also cemented her status as one of tennis’ boldest fashion risk-takers, using walk-ons as moments of personal storytelling rather than uniform obligation. From flouncy skirts to rhinestone-encrusted LaBlingBlings—luxury Labubu charms retailing between $465 and $695—her pre-match looks have become part of the spectacle. This year in Melbourne, she raised the bar once again. Osaka arrived at the Australian Open in what can only be described as oceanic armor: _an exoskeletal, jellyfish-inspired ensemble_ that felt equal parts fantasy, fashion, and maternal tribute. **She acknowledged the pressure and the humor of making such a bold entrance:** > __“When I was playing today, I just told myself, like, ‘Keep your head on the path. If she beats you, then that’s unfortunate. But, hey, at least you’re trending.’”__ And, oh, did she trend, with over 43K likes since posting 10 hours ago. **With only** _**three posts on her Instagram**_**, you can view the “Wun of One” ensemble below:** > See on Instagram ****The “Wun” in the _signature style refers to Robert Wun_, the avant-garde fashion designer whose sculptural creations have been worn by Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, and Cardi B. But the true creative aficionado behind the concept was someone much closer to home. Osaka welcomed her daughter Shai with rapper Cordae in July 2023, a milestone that she’s been candid about in the past, which has reshaped her priorities and her relationship with tennis. **She** _**recalled a quiet moment with her daughter**_**in an interview with** _**_Vogue_**_**:** > __“There was an image of a jellyfish, and when I showed it to her, she got so excited.”__ That childhood fascination became the foundation for her mother’s outfit: a turquoise-and-green tie-dye zip-up layered with organic, tendril-like detailing over a coordinating racerback. She complemented the look with a cute pleated miniskirt worn atop pleated, wide-leg white pants, creating a silhouette that moved fluidly as she stepped onto Rod Laver Arena. **For a closer look at the ensemble, see here:** > See on Instagram But the design wasn’t just about jellyfish. It also reached back to one of Osaka’s most iconic moments. **Osaka explained the emotional meaning behind the appearance:** > __“After we sent over our moodboards, Robert came back with a reference that really touched me: the butterfly moment from Australian Open 2021.”__ That moment—when a butterfly famously landed on Osaka’s face mid-match during her 2021 title run—became internet lore. Wun wove that memory into the ensemble through an oversized wide-brim hat adorned with butterflies and finished with a gauzy white veil. **Wun described the inspiration behind revisiting the moment:** > __“One of the looks from my fall 2024 collection was inspired by her moment at court, when a butterfly landed on her face mid-match. A simple, beautiful scene that went viral as she gently placed it aside. I wanted to revisit that story and weave it into this design and collaboration.”__ During the design process, Wun suggested leaning into exoskeletal creatures, a concept that resonated deeply with Osaka. **Osaka reflected on the symbolism:** > __“The birth of something new. It felt symbolic of energy, transformation, and excitement.”__ Born in Japan and raised in the United States, Osaka has often cited Venus and Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova as her personal “G.O.A.T.s of style.” Now, she’s carving out a legacy distinctly her own where motherhood, memory, and match wins coexist. Within minutes of Osaka stepping onto the Australian Open court in her jellyfish-inspired ensemble, the internet had already decided it was watching fashion history in real time. **You can view the reactions below:** @sin_caraz/Instagram @callumliddicoat/Instagram @lungel.o/Instragram @marjani1996/Instagram @sharpechef4u/Instagram @heatherbiltoc/Instagram @gil_gany0n/Instagram @sterling_sports/Instagram @lucykhadija/Instagram @robincofrancis/Instagram @fortytwolove.agency/Instagram @robertwun/Instagram And when it comes to motherhood, Osaka has been upfront about how it nearly changed her trajectory entirely. **Osaka** _**told**_ __**_People_**__ _**in August 2025**_**:** > __“I was one of those people that thought when I had a kid I would stop playing tennis.”__ But instead of stepping away, she sought fresh motivation. Osaka has won four Grand Slam singles titles, including two Australian Open championships in 2019 and 2021. After reaching the U.S. Open semifinals last year—her strongest Grand Slam showing in four years—she’s competing with renewed confidence. So, the walk-on’s bravado carried real stakes. A first-round loss would have turned the look into a punchline. But Osaka delivered, closing out Day 3 at Rod Laver Arena with a hard-fought 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 victory over Antonia Ruzic. **She continued:** > __“While I was pregnant, I was kind of very inspired. I also wanted my daughter to be able to see me play tennis. It was such a big part of my life, and I feel like she doesn’t know it, but she definitely inspired me to continue.”__ Months in the making, the jellyfish-inspired look even mirrored the remodeled player tunnel at Rod Laver Arena, which features Australian coastal motifs like beaches, the Great Barrier Reef, waves, and ocean imagery. What began as a bedtime story moment with her daughter ultimately felt perfectly at home on one of tennis’ biggest stages. **Captioned “FROM THE SEA OF IMAGO,” you can view Osaka's most recent post here:** > See on Instagram

NBA Crowd In London Erupts In Cheers After Heckler's Pointed Words To Trump During National Anthem
The position MAGA Republican President Donald Trump and the United States currently hold on the world stage was made abundantly clear at an NBA game between the Orlando Magic and the Memphis Grizzlies held at the O2 Arena in London, England, on Sunday. The Trump administration frequently touts their foreign policy prowess, claiming they're respected more globally than their predecessors were. But the mockery and protests Trump, his family, and administration members receive when traveling abroad indicate otherwise. That international ire is now bleeding into events where the United States is a participant, such as sports, even when no one from the Trump administration is in attendance. Actor and singer Vanessa Williams was performing the American national anthem before Sunday's NBA game when a heckler yelled: > _"Leave Greenland alone!"_ **The outburst drew cheers from the crowd while the anthem itself drew boos.** BBC legal commentator, lawyer, writer, and broadcaster Chris Daw was in attendance at the game and shared video and his commentary on X. **Daw wrote:** > _"The mood of the British crowd at the @O2 last night was very clear."_ > _"Cries of 'Leave Greenland Alone!' were met with loud cheers during the US national anthem."_ > _"And there were jeers of irony at the line, 'land of the free.'"_ > _"I have never seen any national anthem treated like this - feelings are running high in Britain about Trump's attempt to appoint himself King of the World."_ > — (@) **In a comment on his post, Daw shared:** > _"I have been to hundreds of football matches and have heard disrespectful noise during the British national anthem on rare occasions. I have to say that I generally felt they were alcohol-related / idiotic / childish shouts and not political statements of the kind we heard from Brits at the O2 last night. Very different atmosphere from a football match."_ > _"I think there is nothing wrong with interrupting the national anthem of any country as a form of legitimate protest / freedom of speech."_ > _"I posted my video because of its topicality and for what it says about the impact of Donald's orange lunacy in demanding the territory of a closely allied nation and NATO member, against the wishes of the people of Greenland."_ @crimlawuk/X **Various videos from the event went viral across social media, including Reddit.** > "Leave Greenland Alone!" Heckler shouts during U.S. anthem at London NBA game — crowd erupts in cheers > byu/BreakfastTop6899 insports **People thought the message to Trump and the United States was clear.** > — (@) reply to @crimlawuk/X > — (@) > — (@) reply to @crimlawuk/X > — (@) > — (@) r/Sports/Reddit r/Sports/Reddit > — (@) > — (@) r/Sports/Reddit r/Sports/Reddit > — (@) > — (@) r/Sports/Reddit > — (@) > — (@) Trump originally broached the idea of the United States acquiring Greenland during his first term as President. In his second term—facing the accusations outlined in the Epstein files, pressure to release the complete files, plummeting support headed into the 2026 midterms, and the knowledge he cannot run again—Trump's desperation and supposed master plan has been to create a war for distraction, with the false belief elections would be canceled if he can has put his focus back on Greenland. But former allies that joined the United States in Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan are honoring their NATO agreement with Denmark to support Greenland remaining free of United States interference or occupation.

Colin Jost Offers Hilarious Take On Zoe Saldaña Surpassing Scarlett Johansson As Highest-Grossing Actor
This might seem like setting the bar too low, but in today's world, there's nothing more "green flag" than a man cheering on his wife rather than feeling emasculated or threatened by her being more successful than he is. The perfect example is _Saturday Night Live_ 's Colin Jost, who married Marvel's Scarlett Johansson back in October 2020. In July 2025, Johansson was named the highest-grossing female actor, and Colin used the opportunity to joke about his own acting career, pointing out that she was much more successful than he was. **Jost joked at the time:** > _"When you think about it, combined, me and her are probably one of the top couples at the box office ever."_ > _"She's probably doing a little bit more of that lifting, but combined, you know what I mean?"_ > _"That could be a huge record, too!"_ But this week, Jost completed the "Weekend Update" on _Saturday Night Live_ opposite Michael Che to discuss President Trump being gifted the Nobel Peace Prize, updates on Minneapolis, and hilariously, Jost's wife's status as the highest-grossing actor. Apparently, Johansson has been surpassed by Zoe Saldaña, who starred in _Avatar_ , _Guardians of the Galaxy_ , and _Emilia Pérez_. According to the Weekend Update, Johansson is grossing at 15.4 billion dollars, while Saldaña is at 15.5 billion dollars. **When the promptor displayed the numbers, Jost was quick to come up with a funny solution.** > _"Okay, well, let's see what happens if you include the box office from Scarlett's husband's movies."_ Jost's top films include the live-action edition of _Tom and Jerry_ , _How to Be Single_ , and _Coming to America 2_ , not to mention his time on _Saturday Night Live_. But rather hilariously, his humor did not work in his favor. After he made his joke, Johansson's figure dipped from 15.4 billion to 15.1 billion dollars. **Jost could not keep a straight face:** > _"It went down?!"_ **You can watch Jost's "Weekend Update" segment here:** - YouTubeyoutu.be **The skit made its way over to the "Pop Culture Chat" subReddit, where Redditors were tickled by his reaction.** _"I like that he can make fun of himself for being less successful than his wife instead of feeling emasculated by it. It’s so gross when men can’t handle being less successful." -_ rawrkristina _"Supportive is the only way to be when you’re married to women like Scarlet Johansson and Zoe Saldaña."_ _"Any man who can’t have this attitude could never get or keep a woman like these two."_ - Maditen _"He honestly has such a great sense of humor. He is constantly the butt of the joke on Weekend Update and has fun with each joke." -_ pppogman _"I love it when male celebs are like this; totally building up their partners. Tom Holland and Travis Kelce are two others. It sets such a good example. (Not that celebrities need to be role models necessarily, but you know what I mean)."_ - sharkwithglasses _"So good, LOL Always Important to know what you bring to a relationship!" -_ OK_Humor368 _"He's so hot for this joke." -_ SeaFlounder8437 _"Genuinely laughed at this. He's a good human bean." -_ ExtremeComedian4027 _"He is the whole package." -_ Ynneb82 _"Yeah, he's a pretty household name at this point, all on his own, but his career is peanuts compared to hers. Hell, even her nickname is a household name. It's cool that he's into that."_ - fire2day Between his acting career and his work on _Saturday Night Live_ , Colin Jost is doing quite well for himself, but it's fabulous that he can look at Johansson's career and success and celebrate it with her, rather than feel threatened by it. Too many people play the comparison game and discover too late that comparison is the thief of joy, or in this case, good comedy!

Epic 'You Have To Believe Me' Meltdown In 'Stranger Things' Sparks Hilarious TikTok Trend
The __Stranger Things__ fandom has spent this final season oscillating between chaos and coping mechanisms. First came Conformity Gate. Then the behind-the-scenes whispers. Then the emotional whiplash of the series finale. And now, because this fandom never rests, a full-blown TikTok trend has emerged from a single meltdown moment in Episode 7, “The Bridge.” To grieve the end of the show, fans have _latched onto an audio clip_ that perfectly captures the universal experience of telling the truth and absolutely no one believing you. Fair warning: spoilers ahead. In the episode, Holly Wheeler—Nancy and Mike’s younger sister—finds herself at the center of the Upside Down’s emotional crossfire. Played by Nell Fisher, Holly has an imaginary friend named “Mr. Whatsit,” who is, surprise, actually Vecna/Henry Creel, portrayed by Jamie Campbell Bower. After stalking and kidnapping her into his mind lair, Vecna leaves Holly trapped alongside Max Mayfield, played by Sadie Sink. The two manage to escape, but when Holly wakes up back in the real world, her friends have been brainwashed into believing Max is the villain. What follows is a full-on crashout. **Holly’s breaking point arrives fast and loud:** > __“Come on, you have to believe me. Please. You have to believe me. You have to believe me.”__ Spoiler alert: they do not believe her. But __Stranger Things__ fans? Oh, they understood immediately—and promptly turned the moment into TikTok gold. The audio has since gone viral, with users applying Holly’s desperation to every moment they’ve ever sworn they were telling the truth while everyone else rolled their eyes. **One of the earliest viral takes came from** _**TikTok user @hexagonholder**_**, who perfectly framed the joke:** > __“Me when I'm genuinely telling the truth but my friends don't believe me because I always be lying for fun.”__ His dramatic reenactment using the audio racked up over 10.7 million views, proving the clip resonates well beyond Hawkins. > @hexagonholder > > #forurpage #relateable ****Not far behind, with 5.7 million views, @lavendercashewmilklatte offered a painfully relatable spin. **Her caption cut straight to the delusion:** > __“Me telling everyone this is actually the year I finally get a boyfriend.”__ ** ** > @lavendercashewmilklatte > > I’m like the boy who cried wolf atp ****But the crown jewel belongs to _@morganandevasecret_, whose version has become a fan favorite for reasons that defy explanation but feel spiritually correct. > @morganandevasecret > > #friends #virał #fypシ゚viral #school #please While the internet ran wild with the trend, Fisher has yet to publicly comment. However, the actors who previously played Holly Wheeler did take a moment to say goodbye. Before Fisher stepped into the role for the final season, Holly was portrayed by identical twins Anniston and Tinsley Price, who shared the role from 2016 through 2022. With the fifth and final season placing more focus on the youngest Wheeler, the Duffer brothers recast the role—a move that left fans stunned once they saw what “original Holly” looks like now. The twins, who now document their lives as all-star cheerleaders on social media, confirmed what many fans suspected: they don’t act anymore. **In a tribute shared on their official TikTok, they wrote:** > __“We adored season 1 of Stranger Things, and we hope you enjoy some behind-the-scenes footage taken during our first season.”__ **On another post, they added:** > __“The cast and crew will forever be core memories to us.”__ **You can** _**watch the twins’ tribute**_**here:** > @thepricetwins > > We adored season 1 of Stranger Things, and we hope you enjoy some behind the scenes taken during our first season. We were 3, and the Stranger Things universe was just starting. From our first day to the wrap party, we loved every moment! #strangerthingsseason1 #behindthescenes #hollywheelerstrangerthings #strangerthingsbehindthescenes #pricetwins The TikTok comments from the Holly Wheeler audio meltdown quickly became their own subplot, with fans reacting as they’d just survived another trip to the Upside Down. **You can view the comments below:** @gamerapg186/TikTok @felix_opal/TikTok @lillivanilli08/TikTok @nutritiousvegetable/TikTok @c9backup/TikTok; @morganandevasecret/TikTok @nitaylou28/TikTok @babykooromi/TikTok @alltobe/TikTok @.sweeterbolderbetter/TikTok @emilyvalerio/TikTok @linapa.lina/TikTok @tiaboooo/TikTok ****As fans dissected Holly’s “Believe Me” moment frame by frame, eagle-eyed viewers noticed a _blink-and-you’ll-miss-it production slip_ that briefly yanked __Stranger Things__ out of the 1980s and straight into modern athleisure. At the start of Episode 7, Holly wakes up inside Vecna’s “pain tree” in the Abyss. As she fights her way free, a black sleeve peeks out from under her green sweater, and sharp-eyed fans spotted the unmistakable Under Armour logo. That’s a problem, because Under Armour didn’t launch until 1996. The show, meanwhile, is firmly set in 1987. The mistake was first spotted on December 25, when Volume 2 dropped, and was quietly edited out of the episode within less than 4 days. **You can see the error, and its removal, in the X post below:** > — (@) Let’s hope the editing team is still getting paid for post-show cleanup. Between retroactive fixes and accidental viral moments, it’s clear that the Duffer brothers may be done with __Stranger Things__ , but __Stranger Things__ is nowhere near done with the internet. And if nothing else, the series leaves behind one final gift: the perfect audio clip for every moment you’re telling the truth, begging to be believed, and absolutely no one is listening. ** **** **** ** ****

Stephen Miller's Wife Gets Hilariously Blunt Reminder After Calling Out Gavin Newsom For Going To Davos Forum
Former Trump administration official-turned-podcaster Katie Miller—the wife of White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller—was mocked after her attempt to call out California Governor Gavin Newsom for planning to attend the World Economic Forum fell flat on its face. Newsom, a likely presidential contender in 2028, confirmed to reporters last week that he will travel to Davos, Switzerland, and deliver an address critical of President Donald Trump's economic agenda. In a statement, he said Trump's policies are "not ‘America First’ but ‘Trump First’ — rewarding the favored, punishing the dissenters, and burdening the rest." **The World Economic Forum has long been targeted by the anti-globalist MAGA base, and Miller fed into these sentiments when she took to X and wrote:** > _"Of course Gavin Newsom is going to Davos. Nothing quite says America First like commiserating to the crowd of the World’s Elites. You either stand up for America or you should sit down."_ **You can see her post below.** > — (@) **But Miller didn't seem to realize that Trump himself will be there—and that he has attended the forum in the past.** In 2018, Trump became the first sitting U.S. president to attend the World Economic Forum in almost two decades. In fact, a spokesperson at the time said Trump's address promoted policies to strengthen "American businesses, American industries, and American workers." That sounds pretty "America First" to us, for whatever that's worth. Trump will also attend this year, and _Semafor_ has confirmed he will host a meeting to discuss the future of Greenland as his administration continues to stoke tensions with European leaders for threatening to annex the autonomous Danish territory. Reuters also reported that "Business leaders, including CEOs in financial services, crypto and consulting, were invited to a reception after Trump’s address to the World Economic Forum's annual meeting." **Miller clearly needed a quick reminder of who is attending—and she was swiftly called out.** > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) Think before you tweet, Katie.

Jonathan Van Ness Just Shared An Adorable Throwback Photo With Pedro Pascal—And We Can't Get Enough
Anyone who has recently logged on to Instagram has probably found their feed flooded with nostalgic pictures from a decade ago, since the current trend is for people on the app to share pictures of themselves from 2016. Countless celebrities have jumped on this trend and entertained fans with pictures of their 10-year-younger selves. **Among them is Jonathan Van Ness, the Emmy-winning grooming expert of Netflix's runaway hit reality series _Queer Eye_****.** > See on Instagram Van Ness added not one, but eight pictures of his younger self. These included fixing Margaret Cho's hair ahead of an appearance on _Fashion Police_ , a candid shot with comedian Michelle Collins, as well as a poignant selfie of himself holding an "I Voted" sticker, a reminder that 2016 was the year of possibly the most consequential Presidential election of all time. However, it was the first picture that had practically all of Instagram aflutter—Van Ness in a sweet semi-embrace with Pedro Pascal. While now a household name, thanks to _The Mandalorian_ and _The Last of Us_ , Pascal's star was quickly on the rise in 2016. At the time, the revered and rugged actor was just beginning to make a name for himself thanks to a recurring role on the now legendary HBO series _Game Of Thrones_ , and his lead role on the Netflix smash _Narcos_. Indeed, _Game of Thrones_ also played a highly important role in Van Ness's rise to fame, as one of his first notable onscreen appearances was hosting the web-series _Gay Of Thrones_ , in which Van Ness would recap episodes of the hit series with, as the title suggests, a deliciously gay opinion. Van Ness's post, particularly the first picture of himself and Pascal, was met with adoration from his fans. **Many swooned over the younger Pascal, while also remarking how neither Pascal or Van Ness seemed to have aged in the last ten years, while others fondly remembered Van Ness in his _Gay of Thrones_****days:** @jvn/Instagram @jvn/Instagram @jvn/Instagram @jvn/Instagram @jvn/Instagram @jvn/Instagram @jvn/Instagram @jvn/Instagram @jvn/Instagram @jvn/Instagram The tenth season of _Queer Eye_ , which has also been announced as the final season of Netflix's longest-running unscripted series, is set to premiere on Netflix on January 21. The final season of the hugely popular reboot will see Van Ness and his fellow members of the fab-five, Antoni Porowski, Tan France, Karamo Brown, and Jeremiah Brent, help locals of the nation's capital, Washington D.C, who are in need of the team's trademark external and internal make-overs. As Van Ness will now have a little more time on his hands, perhaps there's time for a reboot of _Gay Of Thrones?_ Maybe this time centered around the popular prequel series _House of The Dragon?_ One can certainly dream, and come up with an appropriate title in the meantime...

Someone Asked Jay Leno If He's Going To 'Get A Girlfriend' After His Wife Was Diagnosed With Dementia—And Fans Are Livid
There are a lot of things a person could say to a man revealing his wife's dementia diagnosis, but "are you gonna get a girlfriend" should never, ever be one of them. And yet, that is what former late-night icon Jay Leno says someone asked him when he opened up about his wife Mavis' struggle with the condition. The two have been together since Leno, 75, was 25 years old and have been married since 1980. In 2024, Mavis was diagnosed with an advanced form of dementia. In an interview with Maria Shriver, Leno shared that he's been a bit thrown off by the reactions he's gotten from some people when talking about Mavis. > — (@) For starters, Leno told Shriver that he has received a fair number of shocked reactions to the fact that he's staying with Mavis rather than leaving her. **Leno seemed mystified by these kinds of comments.** > _“They’re making a big thing out of it when you’re just doing the right thing, which you’re supposed to do."_ > _"That used to be the norm, and then, when you strayed, that was the out-of-whack part."_ > _"Now, the out-of-whack part is fairly common, and staying and doing what we’re supposed to do is stunning to people. We kind of made a deal, you know?”_ **But one comment in particular has stood out the most: A fellow Hollywood colleague who assumed he'd find a side piece now that Mavis is increasingly incapacitated.** __ > _“My favorite thing was, this is the most Hollywood thing, a guy said to me: ‘So, are you going to get a girlfriend now?’”_ > _"I have a girlfriend. I’m married! I’ve been married for 45 years!"_ > _"He’s like: ‘Yeah, but, you know…’ No. We are in this together… You can’t… ‘Honey, I’m seeing my girlfriend, I’ll be back later.'"_ > _"It was just the most Hollywood thing. It made me laugh.”_ **On social media, many people were just as appalled as Leno at the comment.** > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) Sadly, the question isn't actually that shocking: Multiple studies have shown that men leaving their wives when they become incapacitated is not only common, but they do so at rates that are orders of magnitude more often than women. **Leno, obviously is not one of them. And he went on to tell Shriver that he's just grateful he has the resources to be there for Mavis.** > _"The people I feel sorry for; nurse, policeman, teacher, you’ve got a job, and you’ve got to take care of elderly parents or a spouse or something like that."_ > _"I can afford to have someone with Mavis when I’m not there... I never want to be all ‘woe is me,’ because it’s not."_ > _"I’m very fortunate. And like I’ve said a bunch of times, you take a vow when you get married, and people are stunned that you would live up to it.”_ If only more men had this attitude.

MAGA Voter Gets Blunt Reality Check After Complaining That Her Mom's Government Assistance Was Taken Away
A new entry to the MAGA voter with regrets subReddit "Leopards Ate My Face" (r/LeopardsAteMyFace) drew all the customary empathy it deserved for a woman named DiAnne. In a series of posts beginning in August of 2025, DiAnne expressed her devotion and faith in MAGA Republican President Donald Trump. In August, she reposted a screed from failed Ohio MAGA Republican gubernatorial candidate Ken Blackwell praising Trump's devotion to his voters. r/LeopardsAteMyFace/Reddit Then in October, DiAnne decided to repost Trump propaganda from Marco Rubio's State Department, complete with a fawning quote from Rubio himself. r/LeopardsAteMyFace/Reddit In November, DiAnne opted to write her own post, sharing the fear mongering the White House employed during the New York City mayoral election that saw Zohran Mamdani win on a progressive Democratic platform. She called out socialist-Democrat policies—like providing food, shelter, and healthcare for all Americans—and invoked the Bible and God as if Jesus was opposed to any of those ideas. **DiAnne wrote:** > _"...socialism leans heavily toward state control, redistribution, and dependency."_ r/LeopardsAteMyFace/Reddit But then, on an undisclosed date in December, DiAnne suddenly had a change of heart. Sort of. **On a post on the POTUS' Facebook account, DiAnne added a comment saying:** > _"We are patiently waiting for prices to come down. Unfortunately, Federal cuts have hurt my elderly mother and other seniors - my mother received a notice that there is no HEAP money available. CNN Panelist Epically Rips Conservative Pundit After He Tries To Downplay Epstein Files
Podcast host Leigh McGowan criticized conservative CNN panelist Scott Jennings on Monday over his cavalier attitude about the Justice Department's failure to release the Epstein files, calling his response “insane” and “horrifying.” The DOJ has released less than 1% of the Epstein files. The department acknowledged that it has released just 12,285 documents—totaling 125,575 pages—related to Epstein, even though federal law required the bulk of those records to be made public by December 19. Before Christmas, the department said federal prosecutors in Manhattan and the FBI had identified more than one million additional Epstein-related documents that were not part of its initial review, warning that full compliance with the law could take “a few more weeks.” Last month, Representative Ro Khanna, a Democrat from California, and Representative Thomas Massie, a Republican from Kentucky, said they were weighing an inherent contempt lawsuit against Attorney General Pam Bondi in an effort to force a faster release of the records. **Jennings was very dismissive of the DOJ's failure to comply, saying:** > _“They should follow the law, but let’s not get our knickers in a twist here."_ **McGowan, in a mocking accent, replied:** > _“‘Let’s not get our knickers in a twist over child rape.’ Why are you talking like that? Kuvin stressed that the Epstein files "are not abstract government records; they are evidence of how institutions failed children. Continued secrecy retraumatizes victims and undermines public confidence in the justice system." In their most recent letter to the DOJ, Representatives Khanna and Massie said the DOJ "failed to meet the Act’s requirements in multiple respects, including missing the statutory deadline, asserting common-law privileges that the Act does not permit, and applying extensive redactions that appear inconsistent with the Act’s expressed prohibition on withholding or redacting records to protect politically exposed persons.”

Mar-A-Lago Just Hosted A Bizarre Event With Entertainers In Dog Masks—And The Mockery Was Swift
President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate is weirding people the hell out after hosting an event with entertainers dressed in Rococo-era costumes and wearing dog masks. The images are from the American Humane Society’s 15th annual Hero Dog Awards Gala at Mar-a-Lago on Friday, January 9, an event that Trump attended to honor "courageous canines." Video from the Palm Beach gathering shows some attendees wearing 18th-century formal attire topped with dog masks. **It sure had some "Let them eat cake" energy, as noted by @patriottakes, an account that tracks right-wing extremism online.** > — (@) **And the close-ups are something else.** @meidastouch/X @meidastouch/X @meidastouch/X @meidastouch/X **California Governor Gavin Newsom asked what was on all of our minds when he questioned why Trump was hosting what looked like furries at Mar-a-Lago:** > _"Why is Donald Trump hosting a FURRY PARTY???"_ **You can see Newsom's post below.** > — (@) **Truly... what was up with all of this?** > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) **Of course, Mar-a-Lago has made headlines in the past for hosting other odd events at Trump's prized property.** Earlier this year, the estate chose to commemorate a visit Trump made to the Middle East ****by throwing an "Arabian Nights" party. Attendees were treated to fire dancers, men in thawbs (traditional ankle-length robes with long sleeves), live camels—and, incongruously, Spanish-language music. Critics said the event was an example of cultural appropriation that disrespected what encompasses a wide range of cultures and identities across the Middle East and North Africa. The year before, Trump had rapper Vanilla Ice and someone dressed as Michelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles perform for a New Year's Eve party at the venue. Videos captured Trump present in the room as Vanilla Ice entertained the crowd, while an Elvis impersonator performed in another part of the venue. Critics also mocked video footage that shows many supporters as well as members of Trump's inner circle rocking out during the '90s-themed event.

People Break Down The Most Confusing Mixed Signals They've Gotten While Dating
Dating is hard. Why is that? I think mostly because of everyone's inability to communicate properly. Signals are easy to give. Say what you mean. Dating shouldn't be a big mystery. We make it so difficult and traumatizing. **RedditorOk_Professional7444 wanted to hear about the times everyone has been left guessing by a romantic partner, so they asked:** > _"What’s the most confusing mixed signal you’ve ever received while dating?"_ ### Guessing _"Strong interest in private, distance in public."_ ___"It leaves you guessing instead of feeling chosen."_ - gamersecret2 _"It's their own insecurities, nothing to do with you. The closer you are, the more they see you as part of them, and they suffer self-esteem issues."_ - thesquaredape illustrate margot robbie GIF Giphy ### Not So Serious _"Someone who texted me all day, every day - good morning texts, inside jokes, emotional support - but insisted they 'weren’t ready for anything serious.' Meanwhile, they got jealous if I mentioned anyone else. That one messed with my head for a while."_ - Zestyclose_Recipe395 _"A guy did that to me, and he also said 'we didn’t know each other well enough' (we had known each other for at least 7 months, but fair), and was talking about how he didn’t wanna rush into things like he always did. We both moved away after we stopped talking, and he was publicly dating a girl within 2 months and talking about her in our shared GC. Some people just need to grow up and learn how to say if they aren’t into someone."_ _"I’m still so confused by this because he was chasing me for months beforehand and doing borderline sexual harassment stuff in the workplace (we worked together). He wasn’t a great guy, and the signs of him being shitty were there, but it was my first “situationship” or whatever people say, and I was dumb."_ - ghostfrogz ### Married Now _"He gave me a house key after a couple of months of exclusive dating - picked a romantic moment, had a cute keychain ready, the whole nine. I was stoked. Started staying over more often, coming over a little while before he got home from work to tidy up or cook dinner or wait for him in sexy lingerie. Everything was great. It wasn’t until several months later that he admitted that he meant the key for emergencies and the like; he wasn’t expecting me to hang around all the time. I was so embarrassed."_ _"Anyways, we’re married now."_ - Brave_Needleworker_4 ### Ummmm... _"My GF invited her friend, whom I had never met before, to join us for dinner at the resort where we were staying."_ _"Then she told me that she broke up with her last BF because he tried to sleep with that friend."_ _"Later that night, she asked me to have sex with that friend while she watched."_ "Ummmm..." - Routine_Mine_3019 ### I guess if you want... _"One evening, she was very affectionate. Leaning against me, holding my arm, telling me how much she enjoys spending time with me."_ _"The next evening, I finished work early and called her. She was at a mutual friend's apartment. I asked if I could join them. She said, 'I guess, if you want.' I went and was warmly welcomed by everyone except her. She hardly made eye-contact with me."_ _"Two days later, she's sitting extra close to me in a class, wants to walk with me, and invites me to her place for lunch between classes."_ _"Turned out that making guys confused was her hobby. It took me way too long to cut that yo-yo string."_ - HawaiianShirtsOR ### AUDACITY _"Ghosted me for three months and then replied to my Instagram story with '😍😍' like nothing happened. The audacity needs to be studied in a lab."_ - Possible_Bread_4682 x factor wtf GIF by X Factor Global Giphy ### Sorry _"One day, she texts me that she really feels so passionate about me, I’m all she thinks about, and she wants to sit with me and make out all day."_ _"Literally the next day, it’s 'sorry, this isn’t working, and I don’t think time is on our side.' That really messed with my head for a while. Still weird after all these years."_ - Gibby1293 ### YES _"My ex and I broke up after like a month of 'dating,' and became more of a situationship a year later. I wanted to become official, but he would always hesitate (keep in mind, he’s telling me how much he loves me, how I’m the only one he feels comfortable and safe with, he doesn’t want to lose me, all that jazz). After a few months of this, he says I have to ask him out, since he wants to make sure I’m not just saying 'yes' because he asked me. He wants me to want it as well. I ask him out, and he says he’s not ready."_ _"I think he just got off on having me pine after him and stringing me along, while he had the freedom to do whatever he wanted."_ - annon368 ### At the Coffee Shop _"Once, when I was in law school, I met an extremely beautiful woman at a coffee shop. She asked if she could share a table with me -- there was limited space, so it wasn't a particularly forward request, but conversation followed and the chemistry was instantaneous."_ _"The second or third time I saw her there, she suggested we grab a drink sometime and asked for my number. (I probably would have already asked for hers had I not been seeing someone else casually.) She texted later that day to invite me to her apartment for dinner."_ _"So I went over, and she had candles burning, a bottle of wine open, and cooked an amazing meal. We chat for several hours, share the bottle and half of another. I'm having a wonderful time, and she seems to be as well -- that impression is confirmed after dinner, when she suggests we watch a movie. Which of course I agreed to."_ _"We sit down on the couch, and she cuddles right up to me. I put my arm around her, and she weaves her hand into mine. After a respectful 10-15 minutes of movie-watching and chatting, I ask if I can kiss her. She says, 'Oh my gosh, I have a long-distance boyfriend -- I'm so sorry if I gave you the wrong impression.'"_ _"Dating is full of surprises, good and bad -- but there's genuinely no other moment I look back on and still completely fail to understand."'_ - caiusthetroll ### 2 Months Straight _"This girl I was dating would talk to me most of the day every day for 2 months straight, had some crazy sex with me told me I was all green flags, that she appreciated how patient and understanding I was, went on cute dates with me, and even planned some, told me she felt really connected to me, etc. etc."_ _"But told me it was way too soon to be exclusive, and that I was controlling and insecure for asking. She did all that other s**t, but commitment was too much for her."_ _"Then randomly went ballistic on me when a mom walked by my line of sight with a stroller and claimed I was staring at her, and it was so disrespectful, even though she still wanted to be single and date other guys. Then she ended things out of nowhere, supposedly because of that lol."_ _"I think things just got too real for her, and she was not used to being in a stable environment. It was like she only felt comfortable in chaos."_ - TheRealJamesHoffa ### For Real _"He came back into the picture, and he said: I've been in therapy working on things, and I want to be with you. I want to try this for real."_ _"He spent the next month or so avoiding me before telling me it wasn't going to work."_ _"I later found out that at the time he told me, 'I want to try this for real,' he had just gone under contract on a house with a live-in girlfriend whom I knew nothing about."_ - so_i_happened Bbc One Love GIF by BBC Three Giphy ### Pumpkins _"Wanting to do something. Saying you’re going to do said thing. Like going to the pumpkin patch, going on a date, getting something to eat, etc. And then when I ask getting mad at me for asking if we were still going to do said thing. And then imagine that happening to you every single time your partner makes plans with you. Hate that feeling."_ - Emotional_gangsta ### Communicate _"Not dating, but wanted to date. She called me, saying she liked me and wanted to pursue things with me. After I said yes, she proceeded to work increasingly heavy shifts and never had time to sit down with me, hang out, or meet me outside of her work. So on one hand she wants to pursue something, but on the other hand she's never available and doesn't communicate."_ - REDDIT ### RUN!!! _"He told me he loved me on a night out. The next time we saw each other, I asked if that meant he was my boyfriend (he said it very unexpectedly, we had been dating for about a month but hadn't put a label on things yet), and he said NO."_ _I wasn't sure how to react, as I was actually going to talk to him about how I wanted things to slow down, so I was just like ok... the next time we hung out, he said he thought about it, and we were boyfriend and girlfriend."_ _"In hindsight, I should have run."_ - PonytailEnthusiast ### Happy Days! _"Was with a guy for 7 years, he came home one day, said he was leaving, and packed his stuff. Then for the next 2 years, he texted me every day telling me he loved me and occasionally came round to see me. Then I found out he was seeing someone, I called him out on it, and I've never heard from him since."_ _"Wish I had just let him walk away when he said he was going... f**k being in love. But I am now single and happy!"_ - emisathome Oh Yeah Dancing GIF by Jennifer Accomando Giphy Why ghost people? It's so rude! Just say you're not interested. After reading all of this, I'm even more shocked that people find partners. Say what you mean. Do what you say you're gonna do. So easy.

Matt Damon's Daughter Just Dragged Him For How He Was Posing On The Red Carpet—And Ouch!
No matter how honest we might expect our friends or romantic partners to be, no one can humble us quite like our own children can. Whether they're a toddler with truth pouring from their mouths faster than water from a broken pipe, or a teenager practicing for debate team, they're ready to humble. _The Martian_ 's Matt Damon was reminded of that in a big way on the red carpet during the premiere for his latest film, _The Rip_ , opposite Ben Affleck. > — (@) Damon's wife and three young adult daughters were in attendance to show their support, and like any other red carpet, Damon posed for some photographs with his family, fellow celebrities, and by himself. And his daughter Gia had a lot to say about it. Caught in a video over at _Entertainment Weekly_ , Gia could be heard ribbing her dad, asking him why he was standing a certain way for his photos, prompting laughs from the group, including one from Damon that definitely sounded like, "You caught me." **While striking a pose with her shoulders lifted around her ears, and her arms framed widely, with her feet kicked apart, she quipped:** > _"Dad! Dad! Why are you standing like this?"_ In a follow-up photo, Damon stood with his wife and daughters in mostly the same posture, causing his daughter, Stella, to break into laughter mid-photo. > — (@) **You can watchthe video here:** > — (@) **Matt Damon fans and fellow parents were tickled by the callout.** > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) This could have turned into an embarrassing moment, but clearly not for Damon and his daughters! If anything, it sounded like she was trying to help him relax and take better pictures throughout the rest of the evening, and also using the opportunity to roast him a little bit. The best way to get through life is to be able to laugh at ourselves, and what better way to get there than to be comfortable with our loved ones joking around with us from time to time? _The Rip_ is goes live on Netflix on January 16, 2026.

Karoline Leavitt Gets Awkward Reminder After Complaining That Protesters Are Flashing Their Middle Fingers At ICE
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was called out after she attempted to criticize "left-wing agitators" in Minneapolis for giving ICE vehicles the middle finger—only to be reminded of how President Donald Trump reacted to a critic just days ago. Leavitt seized on images from protests in Minneapolis—including photos of vandalized vehicles bearing graffiti like “F**k ICE”— to criticize demonstrations against the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement actions, arguing they reflected unacceptable rhetoric and disorder. **Leavitt, who has for days made excuses for an ICE agent's killing of Renee Nicole Good, said:** > _"If you look at some of the images out of Minneapolis last night, look at this vehicle. Look at what it says: 'Eff ICE.' You have these individuals who are putting their middle finger, proudly so, at the camera."_ > _"Another ICE vehicle that was vandalized last night by these left-wing agitators. Video of the incident shows Trump mouthing "F**k you" before flipping Sabula off after Sabula heckled Trump over his obstruction of the release of the files related to the late financier, sex trafficker, and pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Sabula, who identifies as politically independent, said he has never voted for Trump but has backed other Republicans. He estimated he was about 60 feet from Trump on Tuesday and said the president could hear him “very, very, very clearly.” Two GoFundMe campaigns started after Sabula was suspended from his job have now raised more than $800,000. **You can see footage of the incident below.** > — (@) **Leavitt was swiftly called out for her hypocrisy.** > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) You might want to clean up your own house first, Karoline.

Teyana Taylor Hilariously Confirms She Was Who Leo DiCaprio Was Talking To In That Viral Golden Globes Clip
Now we know who Leonardo DiCaprio was queening out with at the Golden Globes: his costar Teyana Taylor. Taylor won the Globe for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her performance in PT Anderson's _One Battle After Another_ that night, but it turns out that wasn't the only big moment of the evening for her. The more low-key, not to mention boozy, vibe of the Golden Globes means the show is always full of light-hearted moments, and this year perhaps none has brought as much joy as Leonardo DiCaprio having a REALLY good time at his table during an ad break. And in an interview with _Access Hollywood_ , Taylor confirmed that the silly moment came courtesy of her—and _KPop Demon Hunters_. Or at least, she thinks so. In a true testament to how much fun the Globes can be, Taylor said she was too "blacked out" to know for certain. But she's pretty sure! > @accesshollywood > > The mystery has been solved! We now know who Leonardo DiCaprio was talking to during his viral #GoldenGlobes moment! #awardseason Taylor and DiCaprio are costars in _One Battle After Another_ , which is heavily favored to take home a slew of Oscars in March. But Taylor said she and DiCaprio's Globes moment came courtesy of more low-key, family-friendly fare. Leo's silly moment, in which he seems to be decidedly, uh, let's just say "flamboyant," had people laughing so hard it instantly went viral and even attracted lip readers' analyses. > — (@) One such lip reader known as Jackie G online said that DiCaprio was talking about _KPop Demon Hunters_ , and it turns out her analysis was correct! **Taylor told _Access Hollywood_ :** > _“And the crazy part about it is, I’m so blacked out from that day, that I want to say we may have been talking about KPop Demon Hunters."_ > _"Because I was so happy when they won, because my kids love KPop Demon Hunters. So, I was over there just jamming, and I think he just caught me jamming and we started talking about it.”_ The animated film, which is about a K-Pop band that doubles as demon hunters just like it says on the tin, won the Globes for Best Motion Picture - Animated and Best Original Song for its track "Golden." **As for what Taylor and DiCaprio were actually talking about? Well that's lost to history (and presumably booze), it seems.** > _"I just don’t remember what he was saying, I don’t even think I really heard what he was saying. I was probably just laughing and kiki-ing back ... and had no clue what he’s saying.”_ **On social media, fans loved that the DiCaprio moment was exactly the lighthearted kiki with Taylor everyone thought it might be.** tropicospritz/TikTok jennypatasucia/TikTok TikTok TikTok user0037292929191/TikTok hannalarosie/TikTok CC/TikTok yeahno88888/TikTok oliveowlet/TikTok The silly moment may seem uncharacteristic of Leo to us out here in the audience, but Taylor went on to say that she and DiCaprio, whom she affectionately called "my family," had silly banter right from the moment they met. That relationship may reach a whole new height in March, when both actors are heavily favored to win Oscars for their performances in _One Battle After Another_. Maybe we'll get a whole new moment of silliness to go along with it!

Fox News Hosts Dragged After Fawning Over Trump's Alleged Testosterone Levels
People were creeped out by a Fox News _Outnumbered_ segment featuring 5th place-finishing collegiate swimmer Riley Gaines on the panel. The group was discussing Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s recent claim that MAGA Republican President Donald Trump is in "incredible health." **During the January 13 episode of _The Katie Miller Podcast_ , RFK Jr. said:** > _"Dr. [Mehmet] Oz looked at his medical records and said he’s got the highest testosterone level that he’s ever seen for an individual over 70 years old."_ > _"I know the President will be happy that I repeat that.”_ The claim came after months of visible swelling and bruising and two "annual" physicals in six months, including cognitive evaluations that Trump later bragged about. **On _Outnumbered_ , Gaines announced:** > _"I saw this morning, actually, Dr. Oz said President Trump has the highest testosterone level of any man over 70 that he has ever seen…"_ **You can see the moment here:** > — (@) **As panelist Emily Compagno laughed in the background, Gaines added:** > _"But you compare President Trump to someone, any one of the Democratic male leaders, someone like Tim Walz, if you will, you know Mr. Jazz Hands--"_ > _"Ask any 20-year-old boy, especially on a college campus, who they would rather spend a day golfing with, President Trump or Tim Walz?"_ > _"You have to imagine that majority of them are going to say President Trump."_ Rather than draw a multitude of 20-year-old males clamoring to hit the links with the POTUS, Gaines gushing over someone old enough to be her grandpa drew mostly mockery. **One person noted:** > _"Fox News just turned prime time into the world’s creepiest OnlyFans audition tape."_ @gatesisthedevil/X **People were equally creeped out and amused by conservative attempts to bolster Trump's image.** > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) **Some answered Gaines' question.** @Bowser1129/X > — (@) > — (@) As many pointed out, elevated testosterone in an elderly man isn't a sign of good health. High testosterone in older men is most often the result of supplementation. Testosterone therapy became a popular treatment in part through ads claiming it would boost men's libidos and cure erectile dysfunction. But dropping production of certain hormones is a natural part of aging and should be supplemented only if they fall below normal levels for a person's age. Higher testosterone among the elderly increases risks for blood clots (polycythemia); worsens sleep apnea, prostate issues (BPH/cancer acceleration), heart problems (hypertension, stroke), liver disease, fluid retention, acne, and mood swings/irritability; could potentially cause breast enlargement (gynecomastia); and suppresses the body's natural production of the hormone.

Trump Is Getting Epically Dragged After Showing Off Nobel Peace Prize Maria Corina Machado Gave Him
President Donald Trump is the subject of widespread mockery after showing off the Nobel Peace Prize Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado gave him despite the Nobel Committee insisting that prizes can't be transferred. Machado's gesture came just days after she told Fox News she wants to give him her award after he invaded Venezuela and ousted dictator Nicolás Maduro. Machado told host Sean Hannity she "certainly would love to be able to personally tell him that we believe — the Venezuelan people, because this is a prize of the Venezuelan people, certainly want to give it to him and share it with him." > — (@) That attempt to curry favor followed Trump's remarks to reporters earlier this month that while Machado is a "very nice woman," she "doesn’t have the support within or the respect within the country" to lead Venezuela, sparking concerns that his remarks were driven by personal resentment, particularly after Machado won the Nobel Peace Prize instead of him. In fact, sources told _The Washington Post_ that Trump refused to install her because she didn't turn down the honor he covets, thus committing the "ultimate sin" of offending Trump's pride. One source went so far as to say that "if she [Machado] had turned it down and said, 'I can’t accept it because it’s Donald Trump's,' she’d be the president of Venezuela today." But the Norwegian Nobel Committee and the Norwegian Nobel Institute are very clear that a Nobel Peace Prize laureate’s status is in fact permanent, noting on their official website days after Machado's offer that "once a Nobel Prize is announced, it cannot be revoked, shared, or transferred to others." Despite this, Machado traveled to Washington, D.C. to meet Trump anyway, telling reporters she "presented the president of the United States the medal, the Nobel Peace Prize." Machado said she had done so "as a recognition for his unique commitment with our freedom." **You can hear what Machado said in the video below.** > — (@) **The White House posted a message and a photograph to its official X account that shows a beaming Trump standing next to Machado while holding the prize, writing:** > _"President Donald J. Trump meets with María Corina Machado of Venezuela in the Oval Office, during which she presented the President with her Nobel Peace Prize in recognition and honor."_ **You can see the photo of Trump showing off the prize—with Machado by his side—below.** > — (@) @WhiteHouse/X @WhiteHouse/X **The White House confirmed to news outlets that Trump will be keeping the prize.** > — (@) **Trump—always susceptible to flattery—has for now changed his tune on Machado, falling over himself on Truth Social to praise the woman he just weeks ago said no one respects:** > _"It was my Great Honor to meet María Corina Machado, of Venezuela, today. She is a wonderful woman who has been through so much. María presented me with her Nobel Peace Prize for the work I have done. Such a wonderful gesture of mutual respect. Thank you María!"_ **You can see his post below.** @realDonaldTrump/Truth Social **It was an embarrassing display.** > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) It has been a whirlwind of events in the months since the Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded the prize to Machado "for her tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela and for her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy." White House Communications director Steven Cheung accused the Nobel Committee of "placing politics over peace," saying it was "astonishing" that Trump was not recognized after his administration's role in brokering a Gaza ceasefire deal (that Israel has since violated numerous times). However, Trump was barely eligible for the prize to begin with. Nominations for last year's award closed on January 31, 2025, just days after Trump began his second term in office.

Trump Is Weirding Everyone Out With His Bizarre Comments About Whole Milk
President Donald Trump was widely mocked after he made a clarification about "hole" vs. "whole" milk—yes, really—during a press conference about bringing whole milk back to schools. Trump signed legislation on Wednesday restoring whole milk to school cafeteria menus, a move that reverses a 2012 Obama-era policy that restricted schools participating in the National School Lunch Program to serving only skim or low-fat milk, an effort aimed at curbing childhood obesity. The change follows the release of new federal dietary guidelines under the Trump administration that encourage consumption of full-fat dairy. The bipartisan Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act passed Congress last fall. The Department of Agriculture said it will revise Child Nutrition Program rules to reflect the updated guidance and begin rolling out the policy with school nutrition officials immediately. Oh, and amid all this Trump insisted that "whole milk" is a "legal definition"... and for some reason saw fit to correct everyone over the spelling of the product. **He said:** > _"It's actually a legal definition, whole milk, and it's whole with a 'W' for those of you that have a problem."_ **You can hear what Trump said in the video below.** > — (@) **This is one of the more oddball things Trump has said yet—and people are more than a little disturbed by what they see as further evidence of his clear cognitive decline.** > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) **Oh, and by the way, the White House is convinced whole milk—not "hole milk" for those reading at home—needed to be made great again.** > — (@) **The White House also retweeted a video of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. drinking a glass of whole milk as a flex... because that's totally what adults do, right?** > — (@) One thing is certain: The dairy lobby must be loving every single minute of their time in the spotlight.

Agriculture Secretary Gives Truly Bleak Description Of A Cheap Meal Option For Americans—And Wow
Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins was criticized for attempting to downplay rising food costs by sharing her rather dystopian idea of a $3 meal for American consumers amid the ongoing affordability crisis. Rollins claimed that food prices were coming down, even as the latest Consumer Price Index shows grocery costs rising 0.7% in December. Some staples climbed far faster. Beef—which Rollins elevated near the top of the food pyramid in the dietary guidelines she unveiled this month—increased 1% over the month and was up 16.4% compared with a year earlier. **Rollins insisted the government is not asking the American people to spend more money on their diets even as they contend with the rising cost of living and offered the following sad suggestion for a meal:** > _"While we're asking Americans to reconsider what they're eating, are we asking Americans, especially those living on the margins, to spend more on their diet? And the answer to that is no."_ > _“We’ve run over a thousand simulations. It can cost around $3 a meal for a piece of chicken, a piece of broccoli, a corn tortilla and one other thing. And so, there is a way to do this that actually will save the average American consumer money.”_ **You can hear what she said in the video below.** > — (@) **It took "simulations" for Rollins to come up with the sorriest excuse for a taco Americans had ever heard of—and they were not impressed.** > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) **Throughout his election campaign, President Donald Trump repeatedly promised that his administration would take on high prices, even pledging to lower them on his very first day in office.** Of course, none of that has panned out at all. Rollins herself came under fire last year after she recommended that Americans who are worried about the high egg prices should raise chickens in their backyards, an unrealistic and costly non-solution that runs the risk of worsening the avian flu crisis. It's pretty clear she doesn't know what it's actually like out there.

Prison Guards Describe Times They've Seen Former Inmates After They Got Released
We all make mistakes, but there are certain mistakes and bad decisions that might lead us to believe that there's no way to have a good life after making such a wrong turn. But according to some Redditors, there can be a great life ahead, even in the chapter after jail or prison. **Curious, RedditorPurple_Key_6733 asked:** > _"Prison guards of Reddit, have you ever seen one of your inmates after they got released? If so, how did it go?"_ ### Human Connection _"Yeah, I run into them all the time, actually. I attend AA/NA/PTSD meetings with folks, I’ve personally arrested. I frequently hang out with them in sober settings."_ _"Before all that, I ran into a guy who I had given a Christmas Cookie or a dozen, and a Camel Menthol, while waiting to get seen at the ER."_ _"He looked across the bar, noticed me, whispered to his friend, and then the bartender brought me a glass of Top Shelf. Payback for treating him like a human."_ _"He turned every screw in my Camaro, assembled the Pro-Charger every six months, and I went to his funeral this summer."_ _"__Treat people like you want to be treated. If you can’t say that you do, it’s time for a change."_ - Extreme-Afternoon-12 ### Heading In The Right Direction _"Yep, I ran into one at my next job. A bigger dude with a level head who had influence on the unit, who I worked with to mediate issues sometimes."_ _"He shook my hand, and we talked about what was going on with us since leaving the jail. Nice enough guy, seemed like he was getting his act together and staying out of trouble."_ _"__Treat them fairly, and you’re more likely to get a handshake than anything threatening."_ - Vhu ### Standing Together _"I worked at a community correctional facility, so not quite the same thing, but pretty much everyone there liked me. I had a reputation for being tough but fair. I held them accountable, but also tried to guide and coach them, too."_ _"This didn't happen outside work, but one time, a new guy was being rude and borderline hostile, and in a heartbeat, there were five guys behind me, backing me up, telling the new guy not to talk to me like that."_ _"__It's amazing what happens when you treat humans like humans. We'd have a lot less recidivism if that happened more."_ - Entire_Talk839 ### Never Forget A Face _"Saw a guy in Walmart who knew me from prison. He seemed familiar, but I couldn't remember any specifics about him (usually means they aren't a**holes)."_ _"I saw him recognize me and started heading my way. I tipped my wife off just in case she had to get the kids away (really doubt anything would happen, but you never know)."_ _"He reintroduced himself, and turns out, he was one of my workers and thanked me for being chill."_ _"The only other time was at a store, and the guy avoided me. He seemed like he didn't want his prison life and his new life (his family was there) to collide. I can respect that. Gave him a nod and moved on."_ - Iron_Exile ### Stranger Danger! _"I had one woman who worked as a trustee tell me that if she saw me in public, she would scream, 'Stranger danger!' and cause a scene."_ _"I shrugged it off, and d**n if she didn't grab my cart at Walmart one day a year later while my back was turned and wheel it down to the other end of the aisle and run off cackling."_ - psychosus _"__I find this hilarious, because just yesterday, I forgot my taser and told my guy that I'd planned on screaming, 'Stranger danger!' if I felt unsafe while out, LOL."_ - ShyBaby923 ### Nobody's Perfect _"My mate is a screwup but a solid dude. We were at the pub, and he goes, 'F**k' while looking over my shoulder. I turned around, and this massive guy covered in tats was walking straight towards us. I was gearing up to fight."_ _"The dude walks up and asks if he can buy my mate a beer. My mate had been his Correctional Officer when he was inside, but as he said, 'You treated me like a bloke.'"_ _"It w_ _as a little touching in retrospect. I'm just glad he didn't want to fight."_ - Torrossaur _"I worked corrections for about six years in my younger years."_ _"I was at a bar with some friends one night. I hear someone call out the name the inmates called me (they called me a name of a rapper, something like Biggie Smalls)."_ _"I had a brief moment of 'Oh s**t, here we go' as he walked up, because even though I wasn't a d**k, you never know. I didn't recognize the guy, but he told me I had hooked him up with some phone time when he was trying to get his affairs in order before release."_ _"He thanked me for helping out, ordered a beer for me, and went on his way."_ _"__99 percent of inmates are regular a** people that got caught up or made mistakes."_ - Happy_Community_4330 ### Positive Check-Ins _"Yes, but they never had any bad intentions. I was a female officer in an all-male max facility with about 3,000 inmates, so you know, it could’ve gone bad quickly, but it never did."_ _"They were usually really excited to show me that they 'made it' by doing something positive, real, and legal with their life."_ _"I was chill and fair, so I never had any problems on the inside either. One of the guys lives in the same small community as me. He was just an 18-year-old kid with a short sentence; honestly, harmless."_ - Flaky-Parfait-5603 ### Always Say No _"Former correctional officer here at a state prison. I had just quit a few months earlier (because the job sucks) and went back to college."_ _"I was out one night at a bar, and this guy comes up and says I look familiar then keeps coming around every couple of minutes. At this point, I'm a good 100 miles away from the prison and don't really socialize outside my circle, so I'm fairly certain this guy that's now bugging me had been locked up."_ _"I asked him if he had been in prison, and it clicked for him. I didn't recognize him because with over 2000 offenders, you're not going to remember anyone outside the regular troublemakers."_ _"He asked me for money, and I used the most important correctional officer skill of telling him no."_ - Finaldreamer ### A Small Act Of Kindness _"I wasn't a CO, but a former inmate. I was in a CVS a few months after the last bid I had done (I did a few) when I heard someone yell my last name. I turned around, and one of my COs was running towards me and gave me a hug."_ _"He was cool. He helped me fix my glasses when they fell off my bunk and broke. I'll never forget that."_ _"I'm so blind without them, and we rarely had an eye doctor there, so I was legit panicking."_ - Emlamb79 ### A Grounding Experience _"I ran into one at Walmart. He greeted me by name and asked me how I was doing."_ _"He was one of the inmates who never caused trouble on the inside. I told him I was proud of him for staying free (he'd been out about three or four years and was doing well)."_ _"He shook my hand, and we kept it moving. Hardly a thrilling encounter, I know, but a mark of how far some of these guys have come."_ - packersfan823 ### Respectful Through-and-Through _"(County jailer of six years): I am a petite woman. One time, a huge guy comes barreling through the Dollar General yelling, 'Miss, miss!'"_ _"My daughter looks at me in terror. The guy says, 'Remember me?!'"_ _"I recognized him. I said, 'How ya doin', Jim Bob?!' Yes, that was his real name."_ _"He was so happy to see me. He told me he was staying out of trouble. He told my daughter I was a good person."_ _"He died a couple of years ago at the age of 47."_ - OutwestTexas ### A Whole New Life _"I was a jail nurse. I see inmates out in public. If they say hello to me, I always acknowledge them back. I tell them I am so happy to see them having a normal life."_ _"Once I was at a laundromat, one of my well-known inmates was there. He was telling me all about his life and his job."_ _"He was with his wife, and she didn’t look too impressed that we were talking. I quickly looked at her and introduced myself. I explained he knew me because I was the jail nurse."_ _"Her whole demeanor changed. She then told me they were expecting another baby. That’s why he was helping her wash."_ _"I told her he had been very respectful towards the nurses, and I hoped everything went well."_ - Public_Scallion1864 ### A Constant Companion _"My husband isn't on Reddit, so I'm going to answer for him. The guy approached him, all excited to see him at our corner store. He invited my husband to his house across the street to see the cat (my husband's favorite) that he took home from prison."_ _"Luckily, there have been no run-ins since, and no, my husband didn't go see the cat. Just told him he was glad he was doing well and went on his way."_ - CinematicHeart _"__Ok, hold up, I wanna know more bout the prison cat. Like, is it one that showed up in the yard one day and everyone cared for it? Or was it a Mr Jingles situation where no one could catch it, but it bonded specifically with this one inmate? I'm super curious."_ - descendantoofJanus _"Many (or at least enough to notice) prisons have rehab programs that include animals, usually cats. They give the inmates something to care for and help with mental health, and often they are shelter pets, so it’s a win-win all around."_ _"It also usually results in a rather large drop in prison violence, as most prisons that have an animal program, the first privilege taken away is the animal, so no one wants to risk that."_ - rihanoa _"When I was in Mississippi, I found a lost dog on a weekend. It was an incredibly sweet Great Dane and hopped in my truck. Animal control was closed, so I called the non-emergency number."_ _"They tell me, 'Oh, just take it on down to the jail.' I was very confused, but I did. Three inmates come out with a supervisor to get her."_ _"I asked what would happen if they couldn't find the owner (I love Danes and would have taken her in a heartbeat). They informed me that they have a whole setup with dogs, cats, and even donkeys and horses, that the inmates care for, and if they didn't find the owner, she would be integrated into their program."_ _"I went back a few days later with some crates, beds, and such that we were getting rid of at work (I work with animals), and got to see all the animals! It was amazing and made me so happy to see."_ - InkdNPrcdAngl ### The Future Looks Bright _"Not a prison guard, but a jail deputy. I see former inmates all the time. I try to treat all inmates with fairness and dignity while they are inside, and I have yet to have someone give me anything but kindness on the outside."_ _"As an aside, last summer I was at a minor league baseball game when I noticed a large group of former inmates sitting behind me. They were repeat offenders, so I had known them for years."_ _"I went over and sat with them and asked them what the occasion was. They were very proud to tell me that they were all in inpatient rehab together, and their rehab center took them all to a baseball game."_ _"It was really cool to see how proud they were of their sobriety. I introduced them to my wife and kids as well, and it was a really special experience."_ - pappyjump0 Though going to jail or prison is something people frown upon, and while there are certainly negative experiences that can happen after doing time, it's important to remember that even situations like this do not have to mark the rest of your life. These encounters can remind us not only that we're all humans who make mistakes, but that a little kindness is memorable and can truly change the trajectory of someone's life.

Firefighter Dubbed A Hero For Trying To Kick Down Gamer Neighbor's Door After Hearing His Cries For Help
Not many of us genuinely have a story that ends with a laugh and, "It was all just a big misunderstanding!" But Redditor dreamthorp had quite the story of misunderstanding to share, based on his post in the "ARC_Raiders" subReddit. According to his post, the Redditor was housesitting for a friend, and while staying there, he decided to play some _ARC Raiders_. The Redditor apparently usually stays at work after hours to game, where he doesn't have to worry about how loudly he games—but while staying at the apartment, he yelled too loudly and drew the attention of his friend's next door neighbor. Not only was he the Redditor's friend's next door neighbor, but he was also a trained firefighter. When the firefighter heard what he thought were cries for help, he slowly approached the door, knocked, and asked if everyone inside was okay. More cries for help were heard, prompting the firefighter to back up and run at the door to attempt to kick it in. According to the comments section, the Redditor was terrified by the two kicks the firefighter attempted, but he was able to answer the door before the firefighter could kick in the door or break it. **You can watch theRing footage here:** > Neighbor heard me yelling ‘help’ in Arc Raiders. Playback damaged because of kick. > byu/dreamthorp inARC_Raiders **Fellow Redditors applauded the firefighter for stepping in to help in what he thought was an emergency.** _"I’m dying from this, but honestly, he’s a good person."_ _"I would definitely buy him something and tell him you appreciate that he was ready to help you. Maybe consider giving him a key next time if you get to know him."_ - MoneyPresentation807 _"From his perspective, it’s so much easier to understand. He even knocks and says, 'Are y'all good?' And the response he gets is, 'Help! Somebody help me!'"_ _"__I’m not a lawyer, but I believe everything this man did would be protected under a Good Samaritan law. He believed another person was in danger and needed help, and he offered that help." -_ Allanthia420 _"__I have to admit, that is pretty legit. Someone willing to kick in a door to save you, is looking out. Zero hesitation to save a life, is a good characteristic, in my opinion. These are the types of people you want to keep around."_ - dojo_shlom0 _"__That's a good man right there. Buy that man a beer and make a new friend."_ - Intelligent_Web_3887 _"__Aye, at least your neighbor is a real one."_ - PromiscuousPotato454 _"__Good dude there. Side note to this. This happened to Nick Mercs on stream a few weeks ago. He was screaming for help for so long. Some guy driving by and came to his window, LOL."_ - wREXTIN _"B_ _ro, the guy is just in his sweats, not even got shoes on, and no hesitation, kicks down your door when he thinks you’re in trouble… Is this guy Batman or something?? What a cool dude."_ - dolphin37 _"__I mean, he knocked and asked if the guy was good and heard yet another cry for help. That’s a good person trying to help someone he thinks is in distress." -_ OstentatiousSock _"__This is honestly why I told my neighbors I am a gamer. Every once in a while, they'll hear me yell at Arc or Rocket League or something. They know I'm having fun and are chill with it. Good on your neighbor for taking action when he thought it was needed!" -_ CockpitEnthusiast _"__Bwahahahahahaha, this made me smile. Good neighbor right there. See you topside, Raider!"_ - jakobmkn Though this turned out to be a misunderstood gaming experience, there are many people who have been in genuine danger, and the people around them turned away and chose not to help them. This firefighter's abilities weren't needed at this moment, but it's reassuring that he was ready to help without hesitation if the need arose.

'Marty Supreme' Director Reveals That Robert Pattinson Played Key Role In Film—And Fans Are Stunned
Timothée Chalamet’s __Marty Supreme__ has become both an awards-season darling and a box office juggernaut, delivering A24 its second-biggest opening ever and cementing its status as one of the year’s most buzzed-about films. But amid the Golden Globe wins, Critics' Choice buzz, and widespread praise for Chalamet’s performance, one delightful detail slipped past even the most attentive fans. During the semifinals scene, which pits Chalamet’s American table-tennis phenom Marty against Hungarian champion Béla Kletzki, played by Géza Röhrig, an unmistakably familiar voice can be heard calling the match. **For reference, you can catch the specific scene below:** > — (@) Did you catch it? You didn’t see him, but if you were listening closely, you may have clocked the uncredited ping-pong announcer’s voice as none other than Robert Pattinson. The actor quietly recorded lines for the film, with his voice popping up again near the beginning—a blink-and-you ’ll-miss-it Easter egg tucked into Josh Safdie’s film. Safdie confirmed the cameo during an appearance at London’s BFI Southbank, offering a delightfully casual explanation for the decision. **The director revealed the secret outright:** > __“No one knows this, but that voice—the commentator, the umpire—is Pattinson. It’s like a little Easter egg. Nobody knows about that.”__ Which is, frankly, an impressive admission considering he quietly enlisted Pattinson for an uncredited cameo and told no one until now. Safdie later elaborated on how the moment came together, framing it less as stunt casting and more as pure convenience. **Safdie explained how the cameo came together:** > __“He came and watched some stuff, and I was like, ‘I don’t know any British people.' So he’s the umpire."__ Whether Pattinson is truly the only Brit in Safdie’s contacts list remains debatable, but what __is__ clear is that the __Twilight__ star secretly lent his voice to one of the year’s biggest films and managed to keep it a surprise until now. That silence retroactively makes a November 2025 __Vanity Fair__ Lie Detector Test even funnier. While promoting __Die My Love__ alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Pattinson was asked whether he would ever work with the Safdie brothers again, despite having starred in their 2017 anxiety-inducing breakout __Good Time__. The polygraph flagged his answer as deceptive. **You can watch the moment at the 4:04 mark below:** - YouTubeVanity Fair Liar, liar, pants on fire, Pattinson. And in hindsight... those __Vanity Fair__ lie detector tests might actually be onto something. While __Marty Supreme__ marks Josh Safdie’s first solo feature since he and brother Benny split to pursue individual projects, his creative bond with Pattinson remains intact. The two have stayed close since __Good Time__ , trading favors over the years, including, famously, the time Pattinson gifted Safdie a Toto Neorest Japanese toilet. The Pattinson surprise also fits a familiar pattern. Safdie has a history of sneaking unexpected voices into his films, including Tilda Swinton’s brief but memorable phone cameo in __Uncut Gems__. These moments aren’t stunt casting so much as playful signatures, or small rewards for viewers paying close attention. **Naturally, the Pattinson reveal sent social media into a brief but enthusiastic ping-pong spiral that would have impressed Marty himself:** > — (@) ** ** > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) Beyond the Easter eggs, _Marty Supreme_ has plenty going on. The film follows an American table-tennis prodigy’s rise through the international circuit and boasts an eclectic supporting cast that includes Odessa A’zion, Gwyneth Paltrow, Fran Drescher, Kevin O’Leary, Sandra Bernhard, and Tyler, the Creator. Chalamet’s performance has fueled a full-blown awards run. He’s already taken home the Golden Globe and Critics Choice Award, with A’zion earning a Best Supporting Actress nomination at The Actor Awards. At the Golden Globes this weekend, Chalamet used his acceptance speech to reflect on gratitude and growth. **Chalamet reflected on his upbringing during his acceptance speech:** > ****__“My dad instilled in me a spirit of gratitude growing up. Always be grateful for what you have. It’s allowed me to leave this ceremony in the past empty-handed, my head held high, grateful just to be here.”__ **You can watch his speech here:** - YouTubeCBS Between secret cameos, lie detector slip-ups, and a career-defining performance, __Marty Supreme__ keeps finding new ways to surprise even after the credits roll. ** ** **** ****

Dad Sparks Backlash After Admitting He Can't Stand Spending More Than 10 Minutes With His Kids
Most people who have chosen to have kids and become parents love their children. That said, we generally can only spend so much time with people, whether they're our loved ones or coworkers, before we need a little break. It's okay that parents might like an occasional break from their children, like having a nice dinner out. But if a parent says they can only spend so much time with their children before their blood begins to boil, that's a red flag. For them to then say that amount of time is very small, like only 10 or 15 minutes, that's even worse. **X user and fatherJustin Murphy had everyone's red flags on alert when he opened up about his limits on the platform.** > _"Am I just a monster? It's been four years since I became a father, and I'm beginning to fear for my soul."_ > _"The truth is, I just don't like being around kids for very long. Historically, this is not uncommon among fathers, but today it feels almost illegal. It's causing me a lot of confusion and anguish."_ > _"The ideal amount of time I would like to spend playing with my kids is probably about 70 to 140 minutes a week, roughly ten minutes each day, maybe two times per day, while taking breaks from work."_ > _"My feelings of love toward them are perfectly strong, but if I have to watch them or entertain them for more than about 10 minutes, my blood starts to boil. I just want to be working or accomplishing something. I try to be grateful, but it doesn't work."_ **This was inspired by the battle between a baseball and a cup of coffee.** > _"It's 9:00 AM this morning, Saturday, January 3. It's a sunny, warm day here in Austin, and my four-year-old son is begging me to play catch in the street. I was drinking coffee, still waking up, so I didn’t really feel like it, but at this age, his desire to play is insatiable."_ > _"He begged and begged, so I conceded, and with a smile. I have no problem being a kind and loving father. The problem is only that I do not enjoy it. It's not that I'm trying to maximize my personal pleasure; it just seems wrong that I experience so little delight when my dad friends all claim to experience so much."_ > _"It was beautiful. We live on a picturesque, tree-lined block. I am even relatively relaxed from the holiday rest. Playing catch with your son is supposed to be an iconic, peak experience."_ > _"Yet for every single minute, on the inside, I just don't want to be there. I want to be drinking my coffee in peace. Then I feel guilty and absurdly ungrateful, and ashamed, when we're done."_ > _"I know that when he is a teenager, I'll long to have these days back. I have all of this perspective rationally, and I've been very patient and steadfast trying to digest it, but nothing fixes me emotionally."_ > _"__Am I a terrible person? Or is my feeling within a certain range of historically normal, and it's modern parenting norms that are off? Whether it's my fault or not, I don't even care; I just want to figure this out. Something is wrong, and I no longer have the excuse of being new to this."_ **You can seethe original tweet here:** > — (@) @jmrphy/X The post received a great amount of attention, from those who tried to be supportive of a father who was struggling to those who didn't think this guy had it in him to be a parent at all. **And while some were sympathetic, most felt there was an issue here with dopamine addiction, prompting him to be more interested in screens than real-life play with his kids.** @CatholicCharm/X > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) @SWENGDAD/X @nhoodpublicist/X **After receiving the backlash, Murphy postedanother lengthy tweet about his feelings about fatherhood.** > _"Man, I always forget the fatherhood stuff goes so crazy on the internet..."_ > _"I'm getting a lot of cruelty, but some of it is fair. Many say I need a therapist, but in fact, this is obviously way better than a therapist. Brutal, quick, concise, and free, you feel it in your bones when a hater is correct, and just ignore it when they're not."_ > _"Here's my summary of what seems fair and coherent from the war playing out in my replies:"_ > _"1. There probably is a dopamine issue. I probably do have a phone problem. I tried to stop working for Christmas/New Year and kind of got depressed. There's a deeper problem here."_ > _"2. It's funny that many people have poked at the 9:00 AM time. Of course, it was a Saturday on holiday, but that's no excuse; having small kids really does require early wakeup. I've always noticed everything goes better when I do that."_ > _"My wife wakes early with the kids, and I often work in the evening, but again, I should just be stronger anyway and also wake up earlier every day. This might be the highest-leverage immediate solution hiding in my story, and I guess I needed a few people to make fun of me to realize that."_ > _"3. People are right to say I should not be so concerned with my own feelings and mental state. I live in my own head way too much; that is indeed unmanly and unbecoming."_ > _"There's only one thing I will not budge on. I will always write honestly, in public, about any damn thing I want. If you never write anything that hurts or makes you look bad, then you're just not a real writer, and your judgments mean nothing to me."_ > _"If I found my dad‘s writings from 20 years ago, and they had honest stories about the highs and lows, just raw stuff where he wasn't trying to make himself look good, but just trying to understand fatherhood honestly and thoughtfully. There's hardly anything that could make me respect him more."_ **You can seethe second tweet here:** > — (@) @jmrphy/X **All this tweet did was prompt a lot more questions about Murphy's wife as a potential "married single mother."** > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) @0xPuff/X > — (@) While it was okay for Murphy to be honest, and it's true that parents need breaks from their responsibilities just like anyone else, even though their responsibilities involve children, it was alarming to think of his comments coming from a place of resentment and dopamine withdrawals. If he had children before he was ready, and if he was really in a place where he only felt joy from a screen, there are far greater issues at play, with his wife already busy enough with caring for their children while he introspects.

Lifters Stand Up For Woman After Fatphobic Guy At Gym Tells Her Not To Work Out Next To Him
There's nothing quite like people going to the gym to improve their health, only for them to be shamed by fellow gym goers. TikToker @_markie.__, who regularly posts workout routines, motivation, and gym culture videos, was working on a video when a commotion broke out near the front door of the gym. A man was standing next to a Smith machine, setting up the bar pad, when he confronted a woman who was lifting weights near him. He loudly told her that he didn't want any "fat people" working out near him. At first, TikToker @_markie.__ tried to make light of the situation to help break it up, not realizing what exactly had been said, by pointing out it was a new year full of new opportunities, and he resumed his set when the woman walked away and started venting to a friend. The woman was clearly hurt by the man's comments, confiding that she was a happily married woman, only trying to get her health straightened out. But the other man continued to listen in on the woman's concerns and started commenting on her body again. At this point, TikToker @_markie.__ dropped his weights to the ground, and he, the videographer, and several of his friends approached the man, surrounding him at his weight machine, and calling him out on his "weird" behavior of making fatphobic comments at the gym. **You can watchthe video here:** > @_markie.__ > > It’s 2026 Everybody Trying To Better Themselves Weridos Like This Won’t Be Tolerated 💯 **Some were infuriated by bigger people being shamed, whether they went to the gym or not.** @_markie.__/TikTok @_markie.__/TikTok @_markie.__/TikTok @_markie.__/TikTok @_markie.__/TikTok **Others were glad that TikToker @_markie.__ and his friends eventually spoke up.** @_markie.__/TikTok @_markie.__/TikTok @_markie.__/TikTok @_markie.__/TikTok @_markie.__/TikTok **Some hoped that this wouldn't hinder the woman's health journey.** @_markie.__/TikTok @_markie.__/TikTok @_markie.__/TikTok @_markie.__/TikTok @_markie.__/TikTok **Fortunately, the woman came across TikToker @_markie.__'s video and was happy to report that it hadn't.** @_markie.__/TikTok The woman is TikToker @QueenTLevelUp, and she started her health journey a while ago. The day the man criticized her was her 93rd consecutive day going to the gym. She filmed the man that day and decided to start a TikTok page to call him out. She's since started posting accountability videos of her going to the gym and her various weight-lifting routines, nearly 100 days into her journey. **You can see her perspective from that day, here (warning: language):** > _"I don't like fat people around me in the gym. I'm right here. You need to go."_ > @queentlevelup > > Day 93 at the GYM for me at 1 of the 2 Gyms I go to! Freedom of speech but not freedom of consequence! 🤪 #PublicShaming #Harlem #Fitness #GYM #WatchYaMouth 😘 **Fellow TikTokers loudly and proudly supported her in the comments.** @QueenTLevelUp/TikTok @QueenTLevelUp/TikTok @QueenTLevelUp/TikTok @QueenTLevelUp/TikTok @QueenTLevelUp/TikTok @QueenTLevelUp/TikTok @QueenTLevelUp/TikTok @QueenTLevelUp/TikTok @QueenTLevelUp/TikTok @QueenTLevelUp/TikTok **Since the incident, TikToker @_markie.__ has continued to speak up about gym etiquette on his platform.** Specifically, after he and his friends called the other man a "weirdo" for how he treated the woman, he's specifically called for "no weirdos" and "no weird behavior" in the gym. **In an uplifting video, the TikToker challenges:** > _"Yo, that weird sh*t won't be tolerated in the gym, man."_ > _"Cutting all of that out for 2026!"_ > _"Lock in. Get money. Stay consistent."_ > _"Just make strength!"_ **You can watchthe video here:** > @_markie.__ > > No Werido Vibes Will Be Tolerated For 2026 Don’t Let Nobody Stop You From Being The Best You In The Gym !! **Fellow TikTokers were proud of TikToker @_mackie.__ for continuing to speak out.** @_markie.__/TikTok @_markie.__/TikTok @_markie.__/TikTok @_markie.__/TikTok @_markie.__/TikTok It's already tough enough to find the motivation to go to the gym, and then have the confidence to walk in and start working out in front of everyone, especially if you're just getting started or are trying out a new routine. But trying to kick someone when they are only trying to improve themselves is beyond low, and it's the last thing we need to see in the spaces that are meant to improve our health and happiness.

Photo Of First Class 'Bowl Of Sadness' Meal On United Flight Sparks Heated Debate About Luxury Travel
You know what they say: the menus keep getting more expensive, but the food portions keep getting smaller. Flying from one destination to another has become more expensive than ever before, and unfortunately, as the prices go up, the quality of the experience continues to go down. With flight cancellations and delays, uncomfortable seating, and worse-than-ever-before food offerings, it's a wonder people still book flights. X user and scientist Peyman Milanfar recently flew first class with United Airlines and had a particular bone to pick with the meal he received during the five-hour flight. He shared an image of the salad he received, and while the bowl was full, the contents were questionable at best, with off-color meat, large cubes of cheese, and a whole, past-its-expiration-date tomato included. **Milanfar demanded in the tweet:** > _"Hey, United Airlines, is this a joke? I just flew [over five] hours in First Class, and this bowl of sadness is what you serve me for dinner?"_ > _"Between the 3D-printed mystery meat, the cafeteria cheese cubes, and the whole tomato I need a chainsaw to cut, this is genuinely unbelievable."_ **You can seethe tweet here:** > — (@) **Fellow X-users were shocked by Milanfar's meal and made comments of their own about it.** > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) **Some were so grossed out, they felt they'd never eat an in-flight meal again.** @realRyanEagle/X > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) **One X user commented with a photo of the subpar meal he'd received on a flight:** > — (@) **And then, of course, there's whatever this is from Ryanair:** > — (@) **To offer an alternative perspective, some X users shared photos of meals they'd received on other airlines around the world that were much more appetizing, not to mention worth the money.** > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) > — (@) Maybe it's just a five-hour flight where something could easily be eaten right after, maybe it was just a poorly-prepared salad, and maybe this is totally just a first world concern to be posting about on the internet. The true issue is the fact that people's ability to stretch a dollar is shrinking by the day—and while their purchase prices keep going up, the quality of what they're receiving keeps going down. The negative correlation needs to stop, and serving better airline food on an expensive flight might not be the way to fix it, but it certainly would be a step in the right direction.
