I’ll note that it’s not my thing either but watching him have so much fun with it has certainly made me understand it more. Not sure why there are some people who do it even when it makes them miserable, though

To give a little perspective, my fiancè really loves keeping up with the meta and building the teams really just for the fun of min-maxing. Makes his brain light up to watch things fit together and make the perfect outcome. He’s a big math guy as well so spreadsheets are fun to him.
