On Nov 15, 2025, the Vatican returned 62 Indigenous artifacts to Canada — including an Inuit kayak, wampum belts, masks and war clubs. Most came from the 1925 Missionary Exhibition. They’ll be examined in Gatineau before transfer to Indigenous organisations.
