The work of racial healing continues as youth and adult leaders. Yurem Romero, a youth leader, identified that cycling, “has the power to unite communities, noting that even simple activities like bike repairs or group rides help bring people together.”

On the anniversary commemorating his contributions, we honor Dr. King’s work by bringing generations together to do the work of racial healing.

CU youth and adult leaders also went to the Chicago History Museum engaging in music, art, & the importance of Dr. King's work.

During the Civil Rights movement, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., gave us an example of what healing looks like when generations work together.

Today, CU leaders participated in city actions honoring MLK's work, by learning about the arts, his legacy and how we can continue the work

Today, the proposal passing indicates that the city continues to make decisions on behalf of youth and puts Black and brown youth at risk.

Instead of curfews and more policing, we have a different vision.

Today, young people from Chicago are gathering at the city council to share their testimonies about the harm that the proposed snap curfew will have on their lives. They are urging elected officials to vote NO on the snap curfew proposal.
