As someone who has moved to Charlotte from a walkable city, this is one thing that makes me nuts. There are multiple walkable spaces here. However, you have to drive to get to or between them, which defeats so much.

Much like oversized suvs, those lights make it safer for the driver and their passengers, but worse for everyone else they encounter.
