It's being played according to Angus MacKay's version of it (recognisable form the long introductory E in each phrase). We only get to hear the A phrase sadly and not hte contrasting B phrase that goes with it and gets woven together ot make the tune.

Fear and Hunger and the Cursed Trilogy were the two games I thought the most about last year. Indie titles that owned their respective aesthetic and vibe (also Cursed 3 being basically 'if Evil Dead was a 90's point-and-click computer game')

There were a few conductorless orchestras in the Soviet Union. Needed people to be able to see eachother and give visual cues easily but they did work.
