Catopsis berteroniana is an epiphytic, tank-forming sp. native to a wide area of the Americas, incl. Florida. It might be protocarnivorous. It doesn’t secrete enzymes, but more insects drown in its tank than expected for its size. Chalky leaf bases might attract prey. #Bromeliaceae#botany 🌾🧪🌱
