Example: I drive on a road, so I'm willing to pay for a state license/required insurance/road maintenance plate taxes/etc. How would they feel if I expected everyone walking down the sidewalk to also chip in $5 toward the cost of my driving?

I am childfree, and public schools also upset me. I shouldn't have to break my back to pay to educate someone else's kid, I shouldn't have to pay for their parents not to die in the streets of old age, nor should I need to help pay for someone to get their mail.

What if it is a service that I no longer wish to subsidize and pay for? What should I do then?
