Also disclaimer that i am aware that there are far too many people in the world who are much less privileged than me and i wish things were better for them than that, but i bet you that these folks also find time for enjoyment when they can!

It's kinda ironic, i fully agree with you despite my autism brain being tuned to go brrr about efficiency. I don't *need* to draw funny animals with big snoots and i don't *need* to stab zombie butts in VR, but 'the fuck is life worth if we're not allowed to enjoy living? '<'

Ooh, banger after banger! Always a delight to see your ORT on my timeline. :D

All good mate! Hope you'll be feeling better soon, no need to stress yourself for my sake. I love your drawings, but you are under no obligation to deliver anything. :v

Oh darn, well, all the more reason to follow the time-honoured tradition of lighting it on fire! '<'

That absolutely miserable expression, perfect lmao

I'm still trying out that thing about being rough with the colouration, i think i like it :V
December 21, 2025 at 7:08 PM
Huh, you look a decade younger than that :V

But for real though, thank you for sharing your work with us despite all the shit and anxiety you say you've had to deal with! The effort has not gone unnoticed and is much respected and appreciated. I hope next year will be better for you. :D

Aw, that's blessed and wholesome. Good on ya, dude! :D

It is a very complicated matter, and in the end i'm choosing to support what i think gives people the most agency. Gender roles are constraining, optional genders give freedom of identity. Basically i don't feel i should make an impactful decision about a race i have no horse in. :V
December 20, 2025 at 3:48 PM
My own view of my sex/gender actually does align with what you're saying, to me it's just one of many descriptors of what i am and not *who* i am (e.g. "this cup is blue"). Others, however, view it VERY differently, and don't tie their gender to anything biological whatsoever.
December 20, 2025 at 3:48 PM
Well, i do see what you mean, but i'm just not in a position to speak for what other people should or should not want with regards to their gender; i'm cisgender and i understand gender eu- and dysphoria very poorly, as i don't think i've ever felt either of them.
December 20, 2025 at 3:48 PM
Trans folks definitely wouldn't bother if their gender wasn't very important to them, so my own view is that people shouldn't feel pigeonholed by their gender, assigned at birth or not. Past that, what they do or identify as is their business as long as they don't harm anyone. :V
December 19, 2025 at 10:16 PM
All good points again! To (also) be clear, i wasn't thinking you said men suffer more, don't worry. :V

One point of maybe semantic disagreement; i think gender *roles* should be abolished. The importance of identity shouldn't be dismissed, even if i personally don't think much about my gender.

I wonder how much of that adherence to toxic masculinity comes from insecurity? From anxiety, and/or fear of alienation from their peers? Fear that if they're not manly enough, they'll get ridiculed and booted? It's strange to me, but worth getting to the bottom of.
December 19, 2025 at 8:08 PM
I put manly and girly in quotation marks because i despise labeling things as such, but some men really buy into that, and also buy into avoiding things that aren't immediately practical (nevermind that it can come in handy in many situations).
December 19, 2025 at 8:08 PM
If there's a hard cap on how many times they can fail before mastering something, how are they supposed to learn a skill that takes hundreds, if not THOUSANDS of "failed" attempts? Art isn't really what you can call a very pragmatic or business-like skill, or even "manly".
December 19, 2025 at 8:08 PM
The fact that it was once a problem just for dudes to wear pink speaks volumes. If men can't even enjoy a colour because it's "girly", how on *earth* are they supposed to express themselves with a hobby that isn't punching logs with tar on their fists?
