For the last 5 years people have been sharing coastal landscape images with the Global Shorelines project. I mount exhibitions in aid of marine conservation charities.
Maybe send me an image of a coast you love with a sentence of commentary.
Reposts and follows appreciated. I am new here.

Helped unload the trucks (as a local student) for the Who gig at Brighton Centre UK in 81. Got free entry and a few £s. Kenney Clarke was a great replacement for Moonie, who had sadly left us in 78.
They also filmed sections of Quadrophenia in Brighton during 78.

Oh yes. Saw them at Southend Kursaal back in the 70's. Brilliant.

Unfortunately, only US shows so far. Hopefully they will make it to Europe eventually. Saw the Clockwork Angels tour in London way back in 2013. The addition of a string section was quite something.

Wow. Greatest blues artists?
If you were able to ask the top five they would probably all name original, true delta blues artists. Son House, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Howlin Wolf, etc, etc.

I was born in England, my wife is Scottish. My mum was an NHS nurse, who came here from Ireland. The NHS saved my wife’s life, delivered my children and grandchildren, and cared for all of us. That’s what we pay our taxes for over here; so people are not generally bankrupted by illness.

Oh, that’s tricky. Wonderful cast in Belfast. Particularly the great Ciarán Hinds and Dame Judi… and then Redford, Robards & Hoffman in ATPM….. but Mel, Zero & Gene (especially) just get it.

I grew up listening to, and watching Bonham, Baker and Moon. Such massive characters (unfortunately also self-destructive). No wonder I bought a drum kit.

Saw the remains of Sweet, touring with the remains of Slade, a few years back. Still great songs, but never the same without Brian and Noddy.
I remember buying & playing the Blockbuster single when me and some mates briefly ran a mobile disco, back in 1973-5.

Carole Lombard Gable.
Tragically she and Clark Gable were only married for a few years before she died in a plane crash, at the age of only 33.

Lovely artwork on The Last Pebble. Good luck with the sales.

The first visible Ernst Stavro Blofeld in You Only Live Twice (1967).

He was shot down and imprisoned in Stalag Luft 1 in WW2. A precursor to his later acting role in The Great Escape (1963).

Led Zep III is sometimes underrated, simply because it falls between the genius of II and IV... but it does have 7 and a half minutes of of the wonderful rock ballad 'Since I've Been Loving You', amongst other gems.

I love the big, full E Street Band sound, but this stripped-back album is a work of genius from the Boss. Saw me through some challenging post-grad work, back in 1982.

🗣️ Bruce Springsteen
🎶 Johnny 99

I've learned to really enjoy a lot of Springsteen's work this year, but nothing can beat the darkness and sparseness of Nebraska.

Every single song belongs and adds to the feel of the record, and Johnny 99 is just about my favourite.

That's brilliant. My dad played the harmonica and accordion, mostly Irish traditional stuff and a bit of country. He would have been well impressed by this.

It's a drummer's special this weekend on @greatesthitsuk.bsky.social so they had to play a Led Zeppelin number (Immigrant Song), featuring the mighty John Bonham.
Just waiting for a Rush song now, with Neil Peart.

Love this genre of film. Early sci fi films could often be clunky, with dodgy dialogue, effects and sets, but this was way above that, and one of the best.
Loosely based on William Shakespeare's play The Tempest, which I remember studying at school.

Celebrating #Scape day with these two watercolour landscape paintings. Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Original watercolours on thick cotton paper.

Two landscape paintings in watercolour in a semi-abstract style. One has a tree in a field and the other is abstract with lovely earthy tones. Both original paintings are shown in light oak frames.

The trailer suggest the visuals on this are spot on. Congratulations, and looking forward to the general release.

Great art podcast here on Swans, Brothels and Trump. It had to include Leda, and Stanley Spencer's (a favourite) Swan Upping at Cookham.
'Conception of magnificence' is a perfect summation of the awful, kitsch decoration in the WH.
