In case you haven’t already seen the news, Spacebook.com now offers historical ephemeris files for space objects dating back to January 1, 1960. Exploring the past is one way to take advantage of this expanded catalog, but certainly not the only application for it. (1/2)

COMSPOC’s research team, the Center for Space Standards & Innovation (CSSI), has updated its Number of Encounters Assessment Tool (NEAT). The tool now models collision risk across 28,171 space objects — a 4.6% increase from the previous count in April. (1/2)
