IF we still have elections by then.

Trump/Republicans are putting in place laws and rules that makes it impossible for Democrats to run, much less win elections.

They're in for the long haul.
May 12, 2025 at 12:54 AM
Aren't state republicans and MAGA making moves to undo this?
May 12, 2025 at 12:52 AM
Oh but we're losing battles.

Victories for the people are sparse and tiny compared to the colossal wins by the authoritarians.

Now they're moving towards making courts moot and enslaved to the government instead of being independent.

It's literally in art of war:

Winning a hundred battles doesn't make you master of warfare.

Subjugation of your enemies without war makes you the master.

China literally subjugated America without firing a single shot.

China is indeed the master.

Is she gonna arrest DHS?

Like how is she gonna have problems when she doesn't even have the power to force DHS into compliance.

She's likely first in line to be arrested and disappeared when Writ of Habeas Corpus is taken behind the shed and put out of existence.

The press is run by pro-trumpists.

And why don't anchors walk away...?

Well you answered your own question. They're rich and greedy. Walking away means they lose their cash flow.
May 11, 2025 at 5:15 PM
Right, and they're united on passing voting rights bills that effectively makes it impossible to vote them out of their seats.

I've made calls, I've written letters.

But what do I get? Letters full of nonsense blaming the Democrats.
May 11, 2025 at 5:05 PM
Arrest? Who's going to arrest them much less enforce it?

You?

The law is effectively dead.

You've seen how people just stand by and render no assistance but upload videos and gasp 'Oh look, ICE is being awful! Such bad boys~'

Then carry on with their lives.
May 11, 2025 at 5:00 PM
Jamie Raskin is on the path to be disappeared if Trump suspends writ of Habeas Corpus.

So will every democrat.

Sorry to say, we aren't exactly rising up as we should be.

Protests are nice. Marches too. But they haven't had the desired effect.

Trump is still doing whatever he wants.
May 11, 2025 at 4:55 PM
We'll moan about it on social media but do nothing about it even as we lose our rights to resist.

And we'll like it.

Such brave people we are.
May 11, 2025 at 4:40 PM
Trump doesn't care.

Trump does have plans to put those bankrupt people into a permanent life of indentured service, literally chained to their non-paying menial factory/farm jobs.

For generations.

Bringing back the impenetrable wall between the rich and privileged and the desperately poor.
May 11, 2025 at 4:37 PM
And yet the people stood by and did nothing. This is literally what happened during Hitler's rise to power.

Nobody stood up and took the step forward to interfere and STOP them from doing this.

Instead we have people oh so bravely verbally sharing their support.

Action is louder than words.
May 5, 2025 at 9:52 PM
Wrong.

It belongs to the oligarchs.

In fact the country always belonged to the rich and powerful... despite all the anti-trust laws, etc, we never really got rid of them, or passed laws that cut their powers completely.

In fact the original Founding Fathers were rich and privileged people.

LegalEagle talks about it as he dives into the nitty gritty of it and details Trump's involvement in the whole thing and why it's worrisome.

Even if we throw the orange baboon out on his ass, there isn't much of a future for America as a whole.

The damage he did in just 100 days is simply too immense. Trades aren't coming back, respect isn't coming back.

Above all we Americans can't be trusted ever again after voting for him twice.

We just lack the leadership. Nobody's really stepping up and taking the reins, we have many people, many different mindsets.

But nobody's REALLY stepping up to the plate and uniting and pointing us in the direction we should be going.

Fine, I'll do whatever I can from my end.

You do realize peaceful resistance only works when the gov't respects the rule of law and will of the people.

This government clearly doesn't operate within the bounds of the rule of law.

There's examples in history where peaceful resistance got utterly crushed.

Prague, 1968. Tiananmen, 1989.
May 1, 2025 at 7:01 PM
Because my state has made it basically illegal to own weapons that go bang with the fury of resistance.

All I can do is stand on a street corner and powerlessly wave around placards depicting my utter outrage all the while wondering if our words and voices will reach the regime and have an effect.
May 1, 2025 at 6:54 PM
Unless we start seeing actual changes and real, tangible resistance other than mass protests that don't get reported on MSM...

The regime's been arresting judges and the FBI, ICE etc are doing whatever they want with no respect for the law.

Until I see real resistance, I remain forlornly apathetic
May 1, 2025 at 6:50 PM
Sure.

My state basically made it illegal to own firearms.

All I can do is helplessly stand on a street corner while powerlessly waving a placard and wondering if It'll ever have an effect on the government.

Don't ask me to donate. I need every cent to continue my existence.

So what can I do?
