Happy Saturday #AT40 fam! Had a great trip to CO to visit my son, but glad to be back at sea level (8000-12000 ft altitude was rough!). 1975- starting HS- fun times!!

Probably won't be posting much today, but I am listening in! I am packing for my vacation to Colorado to visit my son. This is one of the places he will be taking me… Can't wait to get out of the heat and humidity of southeastern NC for a few days #AT40

I always think of my dad when I hear Gonna Fly Now... he was so excited to see Rocky (he was a boxer in the Navy) And he took me, my sister, and about 5 other girls and 1 boy from our church group to go see it. Love you always Dad ❤️ #AT40

Just want to share that I spent my 65th birthday on Tuesday at a Todd Rundgren concert – the STILL GREAT Todd Rundgren! He played for two solid hours and I don't remember when I've enjoyed a concert so much 😁 #AT40

I have an outstanding photo of me and my future husband at a college dance from 1979, but it's on the top shelf of my closet and I am forbidden from getting on a step ladder at the moment, following my injury🙄 But I am making progress – first time I've been able to wear sandals in 4 months! #AT40

This week in '73, I was getting the last of 6 casts off following bilateral foot surgery... I guess it's true, the more things change, the more they stay the same! 52 yrs later and I'm still dealing with foot/ankle issues, but I'm making good progress! #AT40

Milestone reached today during #AT40 countdown: I can now walk two laps around my living room and kitchen island in the lace up brace and a regular shoe! but it requires icing it immediately after...progress, not perfection

Hey there #AT40 friends! I did it- graduated from my double boots into Velcro braces. Left ankle still isn't ready for full weight-bearing, although I tested that yesterday by getting to the car and driving 😁 5/5/79- entering finals week in my second semester at U of MD. Good memories!

Thanks #AT40 friends for distracting me today...got a walking boot to replace the cast on my hardware-filled left ankle - but I'm not allowed to put any weight on it for six weeks😡 Anyway, thanks to those who are marching, and I will look forward to meeting you all back here next week!

Hello friends! I missed you while I've been away – as you can see, I had an unfortunate fall and had a triple fracture of the left ankle and a displaced fracture of the fourth metatarsal on the right foot. So no dancing for me today, but I'm glad to be with you enjoying good music from 1971! #AT40
