I stand by what I said. In science, denying someone credit for their contribution IS stealing their work.
There's a separate question about whether W&C made significant contributions at all. If that's the "bad take" we're talking about, then sure, that's more than splitting hairs.

I mean, if the straw man you're beating is the idea that Watson and Crick brought nothing to the table and it was all Franklin's work, I guess that's something that should be challenged. But again, the article makes it very clear that she deserves significantly more credit than she got.

I did read the article, thanks. They bend over backwards to insist that she was an equal contributor to the process, which to me very much underscores the injustice of the fact that she was written out of the story for decades.

I feel like his track record as an MEP was at least kind of on brand since he very clearly saw the parliament he was elected to as an illegitimate farce. Harder to justify for the one he's supposed to be part of now, though.

I am so conflicted- they're a cutie and a chonk, but grey squirrels in Scotland are an invasive species. I'm hoping it's not in a part of the country where native red squirrels are being protected, the two species can't really coexist 😔
