One of the "Centrist Dems" was hailed by Bernie and quite a few Progressive organizations and politicians as "Progressive" while they dunked on his opponent as "Centrist" just few years ago. Quite a few BernieBros ended up MAGA.

Since the Communists fell in 1989 we were taught and lectured by politicians, journalists, teachers... from the US how your system has so many checks and balances etc...

TBH his victory shouldn't say anything anout wider appeal - he was laser focused on his city and its issues.
The lesson for wider country is that candidates need to be authentic, should not not pussyfoot around, and go for topics that resonate with the voters and not with the consultant class.
