She/her. Profile pic is an off-white chihuahua mix getting a neck scratch from an outstretched hand, looking happy with his ears down and eyes closed
He seems to be an actual law professor too? How does one go through life so unencumbered by shame?

My opinion (debatable ofc) is that racism and misogyny are often inextricable within a given political identity

Also, plenty of women vote for the “male-vibes” party very much because of their own misogyny and vibes-based political understanding

Sorry to say that racism animates politics in other countries just as much, and other countries are absolutely racist as hell; & he’s right about the gendered perception of the rep/dem parties in the us. Ofc this doesn’t detract from your point that racism drives trump’s political success

These men were, with more power and resources than most certainly, doing and saying the same horrific shit that men of all social classes do to women in children every single day, for all of patriarchy’s long history.

And now you’ve also horrified me :)

Your previous thread describing institutional response to sa was breathtaking, btw. Incredible thing to share and I’m so grateful that you did. However painfully familiar, seeing it chronicled like that was really intense

Can’t separate out the misogyny either. The least surprising thing in the world is that women have to prove their bona fides, always, and men’s expertise is presumed.

Is he not? Genuine question, this seems way too on the nose

I was a Mamdani skeptic (doubted his sincerity, dw ofc I voted for him) and I’ve never been happier to be wrong. It’s early days yet, but my god the possibilities

You’re right - I didn’t know about Edward Crawford’s death; nor Darren Seals’, nor Deandre Joshua’s, whose deaths are referenced in the cnn news story about Crawford’s. Do you suggest any particular sources for more information?

But why do we think that Epstein was directly involved with r/pol? Just bc he met with that guy or is there another link?

Is the first one carrying something underneath his shirt or is that his stomach? Real question, I can’t tell

Isn’t Gunther eagleman a joke/satire account?

The whole thing is an embarrassment and a stain on the American legal system, not to mention a moral abomination, and it’s been like this for *decades*

Constitutional protections specifically DON’T apply to non-citizens, & immigration court is an administrative body outside of the regular judiciary. Federal circuit courts are supposed to provide oversight by hearing final appeals, but functionally they do not
January 23, 2026 at 6:07 AM
Did you know about ice “warrants” and similar mechanics of immigration court before jd Vance’s speech here? I wonder how much immigration law is common knowledge in the bigger legal community

It’s Alison Williams in the movie Get Out, you can probably read the plot summary in Wikipedia to see what this scene is about

I’ve been trying to remember the term for this for AGES and it’s driving me up the wall!

It’s not a big deal that you misunderstood chan’s statement, which was poorly worded. But now that you understand what she meant, does it occur to you to apologize for being snippy to kabas? She did nothing to deserve either one of you being so rude. And she’s right!
