Good news out of Philly today.

We need every win. Especially since the coalition was TIRELESS.

NYE at 11:23pm, I completed a goal set 1/24 to submit my 1st book proposal.

I didn’t think I’d make it but an amazing community of Black women pushed me to the finish line. 2025 will be dedicated to making sure I make good on this title.

I don’t even be outside, let alone downtown Philly, like that…but tonight, I randomly drove by Giovanni’s Room. When I realized it, I spun the block to get a pic cause…whoa.

Now it ain’t about the (coincidence?) of the surname but that she & James Baldwin are reunited. They got us.✨

First, those words made me feel seen as a young girl growing up in the inner city.

Then they became a knowing, a comfort, truth, and guidepost for living this life.
