Oh that's a good idea! I have some of that thinking putty stuff that I use to try to keep myself focused when listening. Never thought to extend it to speaking, but it makes sense that it would help in that context too

Yeah. One of the common discussion points in my design group is the (growing?) gap between commercial success and BGG acclaim. Unfortunately if there's much by way of data on the first point, we can't find it.

First Wyrmspan expansion is coming out next week! I'm super excited about this expansion - it introduces a bunch of awesome new dragons (including teenaged dragons!) plus introduces a very cool pass-on-draft mechanism.

There are several programs that import excel data into card templates! I like Nandeck, as David mentioned - it's free & works well. Ludolodge on YouTube has some great tutorials. A lot of folks use Component Studio too, which is put out by gamecrafter and has a scription model (maybe $10/month?).

Yeah. Even so though, over 90% of DC votes went to Harris last fall, so I'm a little surprised to see less than that supporting the current takeover. [Though to be clear, it was 83% disapproval, so some may have been neutral.]

I do wonder if that's a big part of it. One of the things I like so much about DC is the fundamental optimism of so many of the people in government. We're all here because we wanted to make the world a better place.

I'd like to end this on a positive note. And maybe it's: I haven't given up hope & am motivated to try to find something, anything, to do to help. I tried to sign up for an aid org's orientation yesterday & it was full days in advance, so others obviously feel the same way. Will keep trying. 15/15

I think a lot of people are feeling the same way. The DC streets have been quiet lately. Unemployment is high & a lot of people with formerly safe jobs have lost them. We can't go out to eat without being reminded there are *mobs* of "law enforcement" around, many with ill intent. 14/
