He holds degrees from The Ohio State University and the Eastman School of Music and is an alumnus of the Aspen Music Festival.

Andrew performs primarily on the Selmer Recital clarinet and has also performed extensively on the Selmer Signature model.

Andrew Brown joined the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra in 2006 and serves as Third/Bass Clarinetist. In addition to his work in Rochester, he performs with orchestras throughout the region and around the country, and maintains an active presence in chamber music, appearing regularly in ensembles
