My eyes tell me they're struggling. We kicked every ball into the end zone against the Jets which means we're either scared of their return game or unconvinced of ours. Teams rarely start worse than the 35-yard line against us on kickoffs.

We gotta start talking about kick and punt coverage this year though. Both have been abysmal in Jacksonville. That has me concerned every game.

They're winning games we always lose. They're on schedule to have a playoff-caliber record with the easier part on its way. If the Raiders game isn't a fluke and we continue to call a run first game I'd be very pleased. But if we don't get some healthy people back on defense it will all be for not.

Chargers offense being balanced is the only thing I take issue with. The traditional run game had endless negative rushes or no yards gained. The interior O-Line was getting no push.

The movie doesn't really work without that ending. Tying the two stories together made me realize what I watching. Dads who yield hope and cower to despair, fail at being fathers.

The desire to make everything "fair" in sports is misguided. Having three opponents that you play twice a year that you absolutely hate, makes watching your favorite team more fun. Divisions, and the rewards that come with them, are great for the game. Turning things into math, aren't.
