The EU has renewed until 9 October 2026 its sanctions regime in response to Russian hybrid threats.

These sanctions target individuals and entities responsible for destabilising activities against the EU, its member states and its partners.

We have now concluded our debate on continued support to Ukraine.

We discussed the possibility of making better use of Russian immobilised assets. We will continue this discussion at our next European Council meeting in October.
