Oddly, I'd recently been toying with a new track title: "If you so desperately want to live on Mars, tie yourself to one of your stupid rockets and fire yourself up there now (cos we just want to get in with living down here)".... but felt it I needed tobe something a little... catchier.

Dr. Jane Goodall filmed an interview with Netflix in March 2025 that she understood would only be released after her death.

Did you have an umbrella?

I remember it was raining in London that night.

If only I were "brave enough" to chop off my own fingers.

The book which inspired The KLF, I believe, and which was almost impossible to find at the time.

The authors use the same stages to divide & connect their trilogy into five books. The screenshot shows part of a page as shared on the Internet Archive, where we can find various digital versions of this book. An analog version still reads best, it seems to me.

At least it confirms suspicions.

All those former Tory members were only there because there wasn't an even more rightwing party to join at the time.

Nick Griffin's BNP were shown up on national TV, but the red carpet has been rolled out by the BBC for Farage.

Purfleet? I wached the darts there a few times before it went all fancy.
conslittleghost.bsky.social
And unfortunately I'm in work rather than synth noodlings, but hey, the bills don't pay themselves.

How are you?
conslittleghost.bsky.social
This album is wonderful. Full of gorgeous textures and wild beats.

Give @endorphins.bsky.social a follow and leap on it when it comes out!

Good, thanks

Walked to work trying to decide what to do for a next release. Wondering if it should just be a collection of tracks, or something more coherent but a lot more work..

Manifesting lots of half baked musical ideas but nothing which leaps out yet.

Morning #synthsky #musicsky world.

What's new?
conslittleghost.bsky.social
Was literally going to suggest this. Everyone I know who has a Hysrasynth really loves it!
conslittleghost.bsky.social
Never.

They're just different moods
conslittleghost.bsky.social
No heckling required.

Just straight up positive music action.

As someone pointed out to me, it seems I've had my TL set to troubling and depressing political comment, rather than positive and encouraging musicians.

So I'm changing that to start with.

Let’s get #synthsky back on track!!!

I feel like the music community which was so strong here just a year ago is slowly ebbing away.

I'm so fired up for this!

I hereby claim the word "siftsynth"
conslittleghost.bsky.social
But only when recording it through a high end £3000 interface at 24/96... Then bouncing down to a 160 mp3

Same here. I was at Bristol last year, cooing over it at the Erica stand, weighing up a purchase.

Then got home and did some research😀

The software in the Erica synth feels a lot more developed though. Sounds more polished, less chaotic. The reaktor version leaps about, but it did save me a grand!

They're great synths. Something interesting about them. The hardware synths were a little maligned when I first started making music in the 90s but they offer something different.

Tried other FM siftsynths including FM8, but the Arturia DX does sound good.

Heard good things about Dexed, too.
conslittleghost.bsky.social
And I might put a new battery in my old FB01, but could do with an editor for it.

Filthy FM box, with rough components.

Can be modded to give better fidelity, but not sure I want that.
conslittleghost.bsky.social
Some of the synths I'm exploring a bit more:

Arturia DX7v, CZv and SQ80v

NI Prism & Steampipe (physical modelling)

Kv331 Synthmaster - additive, FM, granular, wavetable - everything basically

Mutable Instruments Rings & Braids in Softube Modular

Yamaha Fs1r (hardware FM and Formant synth)
conslittleghost.bsky.social
I had VCV for a while when it first came out, but I'd had Softube Modular for a good few years and love the sound of it so stuck with that.

Maybe I should dive back into VCV

But I'm trying to avoid actual modular. I know where it will lead and i just can't do the $$$.
