Amongst the Shelves constellarium Chapter Management Edit Chapter Chapter 3: Foreword Summary: After a grueling mission to rescue her friends from Castrum Centri, Stella finds that she can't sleep. Notes: (See the end of the chapter for notes.) He heard her soft footsteps in the distance and looked to see her creak the door open, familiar tea tray in hand. She tilted her chin towards the table near their seats — ah, yes, he understood — and he removed a short stack of tomes from the table so she could set it down. He watched her pour tea for them both with practiced hands, her motions steady despite her clear fatigue. As he did, he felt a warm gratitude within his chest, and opened his lips to speak— "I missed this," Stella said in a small, soft voice, looking down at the teacup in her hands. She handed it to him, and he took it carefully, his breath catching as their fingers brushed. She withdrew her hands quickly once she'd passed it over to him, then seated herself. She reached for her own cup and gazed down into the tea's golden surface. "Having tea here in the library with you." Urianger stared at her a moment, not expecting to hear such a sentiment from her. Yet— "Ah... sorry," she said quickly, looking back up at him rather sheepishly. "After all that's happened I guess I'm just feeling a bit... sentimental." "Nay," he replied just as quickly, raising a hand in gentle protest. "I, too, share such sentiment. I have missed these peaceful moments as well." She seemed surprised — whatever for? — but then she smiled, radiating relief and warmth. Urianger felt warmed too, and he hadn't yet taken a single sip of his tea.

It wasn't the first time the Warrior had done this; stopped by Camp Dragonhead around dusk and chatted amicably with Haurchefant for a while, waited for his men to leave for the night, then slipped under his desk and knelt between his legs. It began almost just as it had the first time. "My friend, you need not do such a thing," he'd say, voice rumbling low, a delighted smirk on his face despite his gentle protest. Ever considerate, Haurchefant was; he'd learned since they'd become lovers that it was nearly impossible to get the other man to put his own desires first. "But I want to," he'd reply, the only phrase he knew would convince the Elezen to give in.

A Debut in Ishgard constellarium Summary: The Warrior of Light, Stella Altair, recently arrived in Ishgard as a ward of House Fortemps, is set to make her official debut in noble society at the annual Ishgardian Winter Ball. She can't help but be a bit nervous... and the gentle touch of one Haurchefant Greystone, meant to calm her nerves, seems to be causing other problems entirely. Notes: Written as part of Wolchefant Week 2025, for Day 4: Touch. Haurchefant's touch was gentle, nearly reverent as he brought his gloved fingers to run up Stella's scaled jawline, curling a strand of loose hair back behind her horn. She shivered, her eyes closing in a fluttery smile. "You look lovely, Stella. Are you nervous?" She laughed, nodding reluctantly. "A little. I've never worn anything like this before. And I worry I might mess up the steps, out there amongst so many people. I know I'll stand out — I always stand out here." "Mmm." Haurchefant nodded. "It is true; I am certain you will be the talk of the ball." She nodded, moving the fingers of her clasped hands. "But give yourself some grace — none expect you to be a born and bred Ishgardian lady. Or if they do, I will certainly have some sharp words for them. But nay — I suspect none will notice if you miss a step. They'll be too arrested by the strength and elegance of the beautiful new lady in their midst to pay mind to aught else at all."
