Skepticism is meant in a not strictly epistemological sense here. It takes in Pyrrho and Montaigne but also early Chan and Zhuangzi. I think the best representative in recent philosophy is Raymond Geuss. So it's not skepticism in the strictly analytic sense.

Fwiw, I can't ever shrink my interests because I think they come down to something like:

How skepticism about worldviews enables forms of life grounded in attention, ordinary practice, and responsiveness rather than metaphysics and theory.

I discovered this book because I was thinking about a project that would let me shrink my too wide set of interests. Alas, someone has already, and very recently, got there first. Happily, I can now read what they've written!

This all makes it sound like Marx wasn't important. He was. It's just that being a continentalist, my Marx was always filtered through Nietzsche or Heidegger.
