I’m usually allergic to the term “wasted potential” due to bad experiences in the RWBY fandom with people who refused to let go of their headcanons, though with Earthspark? I gotta admit, they fucked up all the Decepticons later on. Even Megatron at the last minute. *sigh…*

Although in Gen:LOCK’s case they replaced the writer for a good reason, it’s just that the replacements weren’t interested in keeping with the story established. Neither were Earthspark’s, from the looks of it. And one of the writers worked on both, I think!
