What I’m hoping for is FFXVII is a huge return to form for the series, I mean the last great FF, was X, yes XII was also great and I love Ivalice but it’s not quite turn based. XIII mucked with it a bit imo, and XV and XVI are just nah. So here’s hoping, thanks COE33 for highlighting TB RPGs again!

Jon agree well deserved for GOTY, however, I believe the nomination process should be reviewed, now that a single game has won so many, a rule change for how many nominations should be considered, in my opinion. They could also restrict to, 1:1 on voting, eg. GOTY, or RPG OTY, that’d work well

Finally, 3 and X I am waiting for a Switch 2 patch, so maybe I just crack them open and give them a go.

2 I never really got far into, this one I had a different problem, the spongy-ness of enemies, that was, maybe it’s just early game and it goes away, but I couldn’t build my DPS fast enough to ward off the boredom… Might be a difficulty setting adjustment, some games just increase health? Was normal

So I own them all and X, I haven’t started 3 or X
I played 1 for 50 hours, I think I’m near the end but after all that time I couldn’t figure out the leveling curve, and hit the next bit of the staircase (of a difficulty curve) and just wasn’t having fun. I enjoyed the side questing in this game

Replace gambling with alcohol or cigarettes and see how that reads. Both were advertised in sports until probably 15-20 years ago, alcohol probably still is a lot of places.

I’ll give it a go, expectations are super low. Depends if A K was involved or not I think, if not there’s more hope. Likely will run for 2 seasons to save face, then close out. Could be Star Trek’s Acolyte though, not a 0% chance. Good luck to them :)

It’s good to see the rivalry still lives on. Both franchises have seen better days, hoping Star Trek is ready to turn over a new leaf soon, very promising and exciting, virtually a 21 year drought since Enterprise.

Geez, but harsh on the old UK, guess they can’t holiday in the US for a while now.

It’s sort of a sign of the stagnation that we’re looking for this, looking forward to when we can all game with 60fps 1% lows (99% of frames shown are above 60fps)
