A government-sanctioned "truth arbiter" will soon arrive at CBS. Their role will be to ensure that journalists do not criticize this Administration or express views that conflict with its agenda.

This is a betrayal—not just of journalistic independence, but of the public trust. 🧵

Oh look, ICE is copying literal Nazi recruiting propaganda again. The poster on the right is for the Volkssturm, the Nazi militia of older men and boys established during the final months of World War II.

The ICE arrests and subsequent protests feel like planned stages leading to Trump announcing martial law and thus becoming firmly ensconced as a dictator.

Freddie Mercury didn't go into the studio and nail the vocals for "The Show Must Go On" in one take while dying of AIDS for you to despair and give up now. Take the time you need, but then get up and get back out there.

The show must go on.

They're using fear to bully you into compliance.

Fear of losing your job, your savings, your Medicare/medicaid, your rights, your freedom.

They're using fear to bully our allies, to break our alliances and promises.

What do they have to fear?

Nothing so far.

That needs to change.

Do you know why a president would do all the most evil and heinous shit via Executive Order? Because his party can't easily make it law. And if they can't make it law, they can't make it last.

Don't let anyone make you feel like this is The End. Do not let them demoralize you. Live to see them die.

YES. If the execs are ultimately responsible, why aren't they taking pay cuts? Why aren't they getting fired? I mean we know the answer but the theater around this is so ridiculous.
“workers are always the first to go when overly-compensated management, insulated from real-world consequences, say they need to tighten their belts. the only people to blame for all these job losses—and all the associated upheaval and distress—are executives.”
