Phione and Manaphy are based off mutations that sea angels can have based off the climate they are born in. It’s why they’re a good marker for sea acidification and global warming rates for researchers.

Manaphy is the mutation born from what otherwise would have ordinarily been a Phione.

Who wouldn’t take a vacay after that debacle? He’s managing his crash out better than most.

And Porygon did nothing wrong! IIRC it was Pikachu’s lightning that caused the strobe effect.
