AI agents aren't magic. There is a reason the code we write today doesn't scrape HTML pages and uses APIs instead. AI agents are no different. Agents still need an API to interact with and permission to do so. Sure, they can generate a client, then guess what to do next, but good luck with that.
Okay, to put it concisely, what changes with an AI agent is that it is a tool that is more flexible at solving unexpected problems. For example, the airline booking example in your other thread: the AI does not care if an airline recently redesigned their website and all the fields have changed

Bluesky feels nice right now because it’s possible to get a wonderful ratio of technologists to “normies” in my feed…a task very difficult on both Threads and Mastodon.

Really hate how much more I like it here than Mastodon. Ideologically I feel I should prefer their federation model but the content and people here are more engaging by leaps and bounds.
