Project Manager in-training. Needed a repository for my abundant nerd-talk. Warning: the video game Satisfactory has momentarily become 70% of my personality.
Blue Prince is a very cool game that only really works if you can sink a lot of time into it in a relatively short period of time, not two hours once a week like I can currently give.

Can really feel my mortality this morning. The passage of time feels realer than usual.

Why does nobody talk about how the Magic School Bus is obviously an eldritch creature from beyond our reality.

Invincible season 3 definitely suffered a bit from obvious production and development issues making them push to release faster than it took for season 2.

That said, it's still some of the best superhero content you can find nowadays. This and The Boys are carrying superhero media.

Very close to an ADHD plunge into mycology and none of you can stop me

Searching for entry-level project management work is tricky. Namely, in that it's all either construction (a vertical I have no interest in) or far too advanced to actually be entry-level, or even intermediate most of the time.

Hmm.

The sobering, sweet realization that, at somewhere in our collective history exists the very first moment where one person told another "I love you."

Creative Log: On the cusp of finishing with a rewrite/edit of an old short story for anthology submission, and have landed on the Sleeper system from Citizen Sleeper as the core for a Resident Evil-themed mini-campaign for some friends.

Introducing my partner to the Pokemon games for her first time ever is very fun.

Just want to put in my two weeks, dissociate from the world for a month, and build fictional factories.

Life momentarily became a cascade of things that took precedence over my creative efforts. That time has (mostly) passed.

I can feel the pull returning, and just in time for writing group.

A new thing has been written (a tad belatedly):

"Clair Obscur: Expedition 33" is one of the most exciting upcoming titles on the gaming horizon, full-stop

Balancing responsibilities is hard. Satisfactory, Project Zomboid, Final Fantasy, AND Pokemon?

Do I look like I’m made of time

Wishing I’d ever worked in a haunted house just so I could put “scare worker” on my resume.

On a documentary and memoir kick. Preferred subject matter is versatile, as long as it's generally interesting. Recommendations?

The older I get, the more writing I do, the more I cultivate my creative aspects...the more I come to understand that all I really want to do is create alongside others. To write stories together and create worlds as one.

I am not as interested in the life of the lone author.

Dreaming in the language of fictional conveyor belts. #Satisfactory

The masculine urge to squirrel away in a dark room and not talk to another living soul for 48-72 hours.
January 6, 2025 at 5:25 AM
I do not want to go to my day job. I want to stay home and build factories. I want to automate a production pipeline, optimize conveyor belt architecture, and conduct strategic resource management.

Anyways I guess Satisfactory is my life now

Watching Squid Game S2 and, just checked, but how is there not yet a death games simulator that allows you to play from the organizational management side?

The indie video games scene was made for ideas like that.

It's a nice feeling, unlocking a new subgenre of interests. I have really taken to reading books about the history of companies dealing in creative products like games and animation.
