On the Huka Falls Trail, saw a number of downed trees all with an odd growth pattern. Trees started out growing fast and suddenly switched to slow growing. Still cannot figure it out.

Rainy rainy day at Franz Josef. Clouds parted for a few minutes giving us a peek at a glacier. Went for a walk in the rain, soaked in a hot tub and headed north.
