For some reason I am still surprised that these cabinet heads aren’t embarrassed to be seen as foolish, incompetent, unprincipled, casual killers, racist, sexist and/or traitorous.

The Justice Dept doesn’t have time for this kind of thing. Their hands are full going after vengeance issues, and defending lawsuits protesting other lawless actions.
This was not a case of someone displeasing Trump, ergo it is not on their radar.
State law is the only recourse in Trump world.

I imagine that the producers who funded this project viewed it as another investment in the Trump regime, and stand ready to lose most of it.

I bet the Bondi letter will be used as an exhibit in a case against ICE. It shows that the entire occupation, and all the destruction and killing, was just a political ruse to strong arm access to information for voter intimidation.

They all agree that the entire immigration law needs to be rewritten in a thoughtful way.
If I was in charge I would abolish the ICE title. It is tainted beyond repair. But their original intended function is needed in some capacity.
