…and step mom (which is great, no problem there) but instead of asking if he’s talked to me, or have a conversation with me about it, or try to explain why I have a certain rule and back me up, they’ve said “oh yes that’s so awful” and tell him it’s fine that he doesn’t want to come to my house…5/

…but this seems to be a situation of a mom who had standards and expectations of her son about rules and communication and respect vs a dad and step-mother who have their lives controlled and dictated by their children. I genuinely feel like my son has expressed his feelings to his dad and 4/

…but his father will not participate in therapy because this is “not his problem.” WTF?! Your son doesn’t want to go to his mother’s house. That is a problem. Validate his feelings but not his actions. His dad is so convinced there is something terribly wrong and completely on my end. 3/?

…but his father refuses to believe that his parenting has anything to do with it. Or lack thereof. And recently I’ve spent hundreds of dollars to have different attorneys tell me polar opposite feasible outcomes of pursuing anything legally. I know it won’t fix the relationship with my son…2/?
