This is so so beautiful. I went through it today although I can drag the tree to my "Christmas tree graveyard" in my woods were it will provide shelter for birds and critters. That comforts me a little. But now I have the perfect term for this annual feeling - "tree-reft". ❤️

She will understand when I say that this is an old school winter. My son and I, referencing Helprin, say almost daily, "This is some Lake of the Coheeries s**t."
